How do I start making a booking?
What phones and OS are compatible with the app?
As long as you have either a Google Android, Apple iOS smartphone or tablet, then you’re good to go!
Where is GrabTaxi available?
We have drivers everywhere around Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, and Baguio City! We’re adding more locations to the list, so stay tuned to our site and social networks for updates!
Why do I need to submit my phone number to register?
For first time users, we will be giving you an activation code to the number you’ve provided for us to ensure the authenticity of your number. This is also important for us or drivers to get in touch with you when picking you up.
How much does it cost?
Our drivers are trained to turn on the meter once the passenger is inside the taxi. All you have to pay is the metered fare (based on LTFRB) and an additional booking fee, which varies per city. Check your app to learn more about our booking fees.
Why is there a booking fee?
The reason for a booking fee is for drivers to be able to cover their expense in going to where you are. Remember, drivers only start their meters once you’re inside the taxi. In addition, we provide you speed, certainty, and safety. We will provide you the best taxi booking service in Manila and we promise to continuously serve you better every time.
I booked a taxi and my driver never arrived! What do I do?
We provide you with your driver’s information so feel free to call your designated driver. If any problems occur, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will investigate this for you.
How can I pay the toll fee?
Toll charge will automatically be added to your fares and will be charged to your card or GrabPay credits.
How can I pay the cashin via driver transaction?
Cashin via driver can pay thru cash or e-wallet.
How can I request a refund if I experience overcharging in my GrabTaxi rides?
You can file a report to https://help.grab.com/passenger/en-ph/115005848608-I-paid-more-than-quotedOvercharged. Please don’t forget to attach the physical receipt from your as a proof.
Note: You can only file a request for refund within 48 hours after the trip and the report is subject for validation.
How do I know if I’m eligible for a refund?
You will receive an email from a Grab customer service representative if your report is valid or not valid for refund within 48 hours.
Where can I receive the refund?
The refund for valid reports will be automatically added to your GrabPay credits.
Why do GrabTaxi drivers charge me differently than the fares indicated in the app?
The fares in the app when you booked are just estimated based on the travel time, the fares you will pay after the ride is based on taxi meter plus the additional charges.
Why did the driver charge me a toll fee even though we didn’t pass on the expressway?
You can file a refund request here if you were charged for a toll fee.

Is it safe to take a GrabTaxi ride?
Yes, it is safe to take GrabTaxi rides as all GrabTaxi drivers follow the safety protocol like sanitation, barriers, wearing facemask and faceshield.
I noticed that I was charged twice for this booking, will I get a refund automatically?
If your payment method is cashless (GrabPay credits/Card), you may see two charges for the same booking. This is a payment authorization charge which is a temporary hold on funds on your credit/debit card or GrabPay Credits that we use to verify your payment method. Will there be disciplinary actions to be placed on the driver?
Depending on our investigation, the driver will be restricted from getting jobs for a period of time, based on the number of offenses and may lead to account suspension.
