Frequently Asked Questions 

• Am I required to register my SIM?
  In compliance with SIM Registration Law or Republic Act 11934. Both existing and new sim users are required to register their sims with their current telco providers before July 25, 2023. 

• Can I register my sim via Grab?
  You can only register your sim cards to your respective telcos. Please reach out directly to your service provider for further information. 

• What happens if I am unable to register my SIM within the deadline prescribed by law? Can I still use Grab even though I didn’t register my sim?
  Your Grab account will remain active. However, you may encounter trouble logging in with your account and receiving OTPs as failure to register your sim will lead to the deactivation of your sim card number. 

• I’m a foreigner, am I required to register my sim?
  Yes, if you are a foreigner visiting the Philippines as a tourist, you are required to register your SIM and it will be valid for 30 days only.

• What will happen to my GrabPay balance/points if I’m unable to register my sim card?Rest assured your Grab account will remain active and your GrabPay Balance does not have an expiration. For your GrabRewards points, you must make 1 point-earning Grab transaction within the next 3 months of your last transaction, for your points will continue to accumulate. 

• I can’t access my Grab account
