Grab Rolls Out Discounts for Senior Citizens

Starting Sepember 11, 2016, Senior Citizen Grabbers may avail of the government-mandated 20% discount on all their GrabCar rides.

There are two hassle-free options to avail of the discount:

  1. Book a GrabCar through the GrabBooths available in most malls and terminals.  Show your Senior Citizen ID and another government-issued ID and the friendly Grab booking agents will assist you in booking a GrabCar with the 20% discount.
  2. Register online to get your personal Senior Citizen Discount promo code. Just fill up the form here: http://grb.to/scregistration. Be sure to have clear photos of your Senior Citizen ID and another government-issued ID so you can upload it in the form.  

Verification of your registration will take 3 working days and once verified, you will receive an SMS with your personal promo code so you can start booking your discounted GrabCar!

Once you book a GrabCar, be sure to have your Senior Citizen ID and your other government-issued ID handy — your GrabCar driver might ask to see them to validate your ride.

  1. How can I avail of the Senior Citizen Discount?
    • You can either avail of the discount by booking in any of our Venue Terminals (malls, hospitals, hotels) or by applying for your own exclusive promo code here: http://grb.to/scregistration
  2. How will I receive my exclusive promo code if I applied online?
    • Once your application has been verified, we will send your promo code via SMS within 3 working days from submission of your application.
  3. Is my exclusive code transferable? Can I use my promo code even if I am not taking the trip?
    • No, the promo code will only be valid for the authorized senior citizen. Any issue regarding this will be flagged by our drivers for fraudulent booking.
  4. Can someone else book me a GrabCar and use the promo code?
    • As long as the authorized senior citizen is taking the ride, then he or she may avail of the discount.
  5. Is the promo valid for all of Grab’s services?
    • The promo will only be valid for the services of GrabCar – GrabCar Sedan, GrabCar Premium, and GrabCar 6-Seater.
  6. Is the promo valid for all cities?
    • Yes, the promo is valid for GrabCar cities – Manila, Bacolod, and Cebu
  7. What happens if I use the promo code but the senior citizen is not part of the trip?
    • The booking will be counted as a “fraudulent booking” and will undergo investigation.
      • 1st Offense – Warning via SMS
      • 2nd Offense – Warning via E-mail
      • 3rd Offense –  Promo code will be deactivated

  • “GrabCar Senior Citizen Discount” (“the Campaign”) is organised by MyTaxi.Ph, Inc. (“the Organizer”) and is open to GrabCar users.
  • By entering the campaign, you represent you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of entry and you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions and decisions of the judges and organizer without limitation or qualification.
