\ud83d\udccdYou can opt in to offset the emissions from your rides and deliveries, by donating money for the purchase of high quality carbon credits and to support other environmental projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccdBy opting in, you will be donating an additional 2 Baht for each car ride \ud83d\ude97, or 1 Baht for each bike ride \ud83d\udef5 or delivery you order, regardless of the fare.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccdWith the help of our partners, such as Conserve Natural Forests and Eco Matcher, we have planted over 200,000 trees in Thailand since 2021. <\/span><\/p>\n

Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. You agree to opt in\/participate in Grab\u2019s Carbon Offset Initiative by contributing to the carbon neutral donation (\u201c<\/span>Carbon Neutral Donation<\/b>\u201d). For each ride, GrabFood or GrabMart delivery in which you contribute to the Carbon Neutral Donation, the ride or delivery shall be considered as a carbon offset ride\/delivery (\u201c<\/span>Carbon Offset Ride\/Delivery<\/b>\u201d). Your participation is voluntary and you may opt out at any time.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Once you opt in to Grab\u2019s Carbon Offset Initiative, the donation will be applied to your next ride or delivery, and the subsequent rides and deliveries (for both motorcycle or car) until you opt out from the initiative by turning off the toggle. Opting out can be done in 3 ways (a more elaborate step-by-step guide can be found in the <\/span>FAQ<\/span><\/a>) and will take effect on your next ride\/delivery order.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Under Grab\u2019s Carbon Offset Initiative, you can offset the greenhouse gas emissions when traveling with Grab or when you order GrabFood and GrabMart deliveries by contributing to the Carbon Neutral Donation for every Carbon Offset Ride\/Delivery you take.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The Carbon Neutral Donation will be used to purchase carbon credits issued under the environmental related projects, plant trees that will help with the absorption of greenhouse gases and\/or to utilize in any\u00a0 other environmental related projects as Grab deems appropriate. Please click <\/span>here<\/span><\/a> for more information about the project details.<\/span>

  5. Grab reserves the right to modify or amend any part of these terms and conditions, its collaboration partners, or environmental related projects at any time, without giving any prior notice. The progress on these initiatives will be reported annually in Grab’s <\/span>ESG Report<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. You understand and agree that you are unable to select the choice of activities under the Carbon Offset Initiative such as selecting the type of trees and wildlife to protect or the country of planting.<\/span>

  7. The trees will be planted in accordance with the growing season at the discretion of our collaboration partners, to ensure optimal survivability. Grab is not and will not be involved with the planting activities and shall not be liable for the condition, growth or otherwise of all trees planted under the Carbon Offset Initiative.<\/span>

  8. By participating in this Carbon Offset Initiative, you agree that you shall not be entitled to any legal or beneficial ownership to the carbon credits, trees and any other sources of carbon offset. The Carbon Neutral donation is not refundable and not tax deductible.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. The Carbon Neutral Donation amount is calculated from the average consumer usage and will vary based on vehicle type (motorcycle or car). This is calculated by using 2024 DEFRA Guidelines source emissions factors and following guidance of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, as amended from time to time. The amount of donation for each Carbon Offset Ride by car is 2 baht and for each Carbon Offset Ride by bike, GrabFood or GrabMart delivery is 1 baht.<\/span>

  10. Grab does not guarantee the accuracy or correctness of your carbon footprint calculation; which is largely dependent on the actual conditions of your rides and the type of vehicles used.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. You agree that a portion of your cash contribution to Grab\u2019s Carbon Offset Initiative will be held by Grab for administration purposes strictly related to this project. A minimal sum shall be used on your behalf for such purposes including but not limited to 1) taxation changes, 2) carbon offset price increases due to market conditions, 3) foreign exchange fluctuations,4) processing, maintenance and development charges, and 5) any other costs or expenses associated with administering of the environmental related projects. Any unused portion will be channeled to purchasing carbon credits, planting trees or supporting any other environmental related projects that Grab deems appropriate. Apart from the average consumer usage of vehicles and this minimal sum, the Carbon Neutral Donation amount also takes into account rounding adjustments to facilitate cash payments from consumers.<\/span>

  12. A certificate for Grab Thailand to prove the retirement of carbon credits will be published on the <\/span>VERRA registry<\/span><\/a> annually.<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Grab reserves the right to alter, add to, amend or reduce the terms and conditions herein as Grab deems fit.
