These Rent Terms of Use<\/strong> are to be read together with the Terms of Service<\/strong><\/a>, other Terms and Conditions published Terms and Policies<\/a><\/strong>, and<\/span> Advance Booking Terms of Use and GrabExecutive Advance Booking Terms of Use<\/a>. By using our Service, in particular, the Rent feature found on the Grab Platform, you are deemed to have read, agreed and understood the terms and conditions of our Terms of Service<\/strong> and Advance Booking Terms of Use and GrabExecutive Advance Booking Terms of Use<\/strong>, which are applicable to you. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of our Terms of Service<\/strong> and Advance Booking Terms of Use and GrabExecutive Advance Booking Terms of Use<\/strong>, please do not use or continue using our Platform or Service.<\/p>

Save for the context required otherwise, all defined terms not defined in this Rent Terms of Use, carry the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Service<\/strong> and Advance Booking Terms of Use and GrabExecutive Advance Booking Terms of Use.<\/strong><\/p>

General<\/strong><\/p>

1. Rent service allows you to book a car with a driver for a specific duration. The driver will stay dedicated to you throughout your booking period and will make as many stopovers as needed within the specific duration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

2. Rent does not support cross-border commutes. All commutes, including pick-ups and drop-offs, must be within Thailand and service hours.<\/span><\/p>

3. You are responsible for ensuring that all details you entered in respect of the Rent are accurate and complete (including pick-up, duration and ride type). Grab shall not be liable for any delays or cancellations by reason of erroneous details or trip type entered by you on the Platform.<\/span><\/p>

4. Rent (including pick-up, duration, ride type, and payment method) cannot be amended once the passenger has booked the ride.<\/span><\/p>

5. Only cashless payment methods (i.e. credit\/debit card, GrabPay Wallet) are accepted for Rent.<\/span><\/p>

6. There will be a pre-authorized charge on your default mode of payment (i.e. GrabPay, credit card, debit card). The funds will be on \u201chold\u201d, and will only be deducted once your ride is completed. If your ride is canceled, you will be refunded, subject to applicable cancellation policies.<\/span><\/p>

7. The applicable fare of your scheduled ride will be shown when you select Rent Advance Booking depending on service type and duration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

8. The displayed fare does not include surcharges (e.g., waiting time fee, tolls, additional stops\/distance), applicable surcharges will be added at the end of your trip.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

9. The booking duration starts once the driver arrives at pick-up point or scheduled time, , whichever is later, depending on the booking type.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

10. The driver may cancel your Rent booking after waiting longer than 10-15 minutes (depending on booking type) at the scheduled pick-up time and pick up location, and you are subjected to a no-show fee.<\/span><\/p>

11. In the event of late arrival by you, the lost time will not be compensated as extra time post the Rent duration. The Rent Advance Booking will end as originally scheduled.<\/span><\/p>

12. Overtime surcharge is calculated based on service booked prorated per minute, subject to drivers’ availability. For example, Standard 4 hours booking fare at THB 1,200 is equivalent to THB 5 per minute.<\/span><\/p>

13. The drop-off time and location (including airport dropoffs) are solely determined by you, and communicated verbally between you and the driver before the end of ride. The driver may provide you with a recommendation however, the final decision on the drop-off time and location lies with you, and the driver nor Grab is not responsible if you cannot arrive at the drop-off point on time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

14. Grab shall not be liable for the loss of money or personal valuables during your trip. Please ensure that all items of value are kept with you for the duration of the hire and never left unattended in the vehicle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

15. Passengers are not permitted to request drivers to perform the delivery of any items such as documents, parcels, goods, or furniture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

16. The driver reserves the right to take the fastest or shortest route available as suggested by the GPS.<\/span><\/p>

17. A large luggage piece is estimated to be 27 inches, and each large luggage piece is considered as 1 seat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

18. Any passenger below the height of 1.35 m (adult or child) must be belted up with approved, age-appropriate devices (e.g., booster seats, car seats, etc.) when traveling in a private-hire vehicle.<\/span><\/p>

19. The parent\/caregiver is accountable for ensuring that the child restraint is correctly installed and that the child is safely secured.<\/span><\/p>

20. Off-Platform Arrangements: In-app chat is provided so you can share your planned route and stops with your driver. You must not share personal contact details or use chat to arrange bookings, payments, or cancellations outside the Grab app. If you make any arrangement with a driver outside the Grab platform \u2014 even if you met through the Grab app \u2014 Grab is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or other incident including fraud arising from that arrangement. All booking changes must be made through the Grab app.<\/span><\/p>

Rent On Demand<\/strong><\/p>

21. You may cancel the booking for free within 3 minutes of getting a driver.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

22. A cancellation fee of THB 30-50 will apply if you cancel after 3 minutes of getting a driver OR if your driver travels a distance to the pick-up point for at least 500 meters (more details<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>

23. A no-show fee of THB 30-50 will apply if your driver cancels your ride after waiting longer than 10 minutes for you at the pick-up point (more details<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>

Rent Advance Booking\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Rent Advance Booking is a feature on the Grab Platform which allows booking of transport rides from two (2) hours to ninety (90) days in advance for rides within Thailand and service hours.<\/span><\/p>

24. Cancellation terms no. 24-33 below supersede cancellations terms no. 21-23 above.<\/span><\/p>

25. For Rent Advance Booking rides, you may cancel for free anytime before 1 hour of the scheduled time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

26. A cancellation fee equivalent to the full fare (maximum of THB 1,000) will be charged if:<\/span><\/p>

    1. You cancel the Rent Advance Booking ride less than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled pick up time; or<\/span><\/li>
    2. Your Rent Advance Booking ride is confirmed and accepted by a driver, but you cancel the ride after the scheduled pick-up time; or<\/span><\/li>
    3. You book the incorrect ride service type (eg. GrabCar 4 seater 4 hours instead of GrabVan 6 seater 4 hours) and fail to cancel at least 1 hour before the scheduled pick-up time.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>

      27. The driver may cancel your Rent Advance Booking ride after waiting longer than 15 minutes at the scheduled pick-up time and pick up location. A no-show fee equivalent to the full fare (maximum of THB 1,000) will be charged if you do not show up within 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time and the driver cancels the booking.\u00a0<\/p>

      28. At the scheduled pick-up time, if there are no available drivers who accepted your Rent Advance booking, your ride will be automatically cancelled 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time, and there would be no charges.<\/span><\/p>

      29. At the scheduled pick-up time, if the driver who accepted your Rent Advance Booking does not arrive or arrives late, you may cancel after the scheduled pick-up time without incurring any charges.<\/span><\/p>

      30. You shall also be subject to other applicable fees pursuant to the prevailing Cancellation policy as published in Grab\u2019s website and notified to you from time to time.<\/span><\/p>

      31. \u201cNever Miss a Flight Guarantee programme\u201d under Advance Booking Terms of Use does not apply for Rent Advance Booking rides.<\/span><\/p>

      We reserve the right to add, amend or remove these Terms of Service at any time. If you do not agree to any of the changes, you must stop using our Platform and Services.
