Grab Ventures Velocity (GVV), our impactful annual startup accelerator, is back for its 8th batch. The theme\u2014Driving a Sustainable Future: Helping MSMEs to Adopt Greener Operations\u2014builds on Grab\u2019s long-term commitment to support profitability, environmental responsibility, and social impact\u2014the triple bottom line approach.<\/p>

This year, five promising Indonesian startups are joining the journey from kick-off in August to graduation in November 2025. We\u2019ve selected startups in two key areas, Renewable Energy and Circular Economy. Throughout the course of the programme, we want these mission-driven founders to find ways to apply their environmentally friendly solutions to a wide range of businesses connected to Grab\u2019s ecosystem.<\/p>

Casion: Compact charging stations for EV adoption<\/h5>

The highlight: pilot phase<\/h5>\n

The most exciting part of GVV\u2019s programme is the pilot phase. Each startup will get the chance to test their ideas directly in Grab\u2019s ecosystem\u2014whether with merchants, drivers, or even Grab for Business clients\u2014supported by Grab\u2019s internal teams. This hands-on collaboration helps startups validate solutions in real market conditions and accelerate adoption.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new in GVV this year<\/h5>\n

Startups across Southeast Asia, especially those in ESG fields, face many hurdles. They must find access to funding and mentorship, develop sustainable growth strategies, and deal with a market that is still immature when it comes to the adoption of socially and environmentally aware products.<\/p>\n

GVV helps bridge these gaps.<\/p>\n

Each year, we refine the program to make it more impactful. For Batch 8, we\u2019re excited to partner with an even bigger group of partners, including our supporting partners, Superbank and Genesis Alternative Ventures, who are giving the startups opportunities to explore strategic partnerships and receive guidance throughout the programme<\/p>\n

We\u2019re also working with four VC partners, Alpha JWC, BRI Ventures, East Ventures, and Trihill Capital, to offer Batch 8 participants guidance and support, including the opportunity to pitch their startups and explore potential investment opportunities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Leveraging its strong network and reputation as a trusted ecosystem enabler, our organizing partner, Endeavor Indonesia, plays a central role in the programme, identifying the best founders through a rigorous multi-layered selection process, curating mentors and speakers tailored to each startup\u2019s needs and growth potential, and driving the successful execution of the programme. Last not but least, GVV\u2019s media partner, Tech in Asia, offers the participating startups a chance to present themselves to a wider audience.<\/p>

Together, these partners will provide guidance, connections, and opportunities for startups to improve and scale their innovations, even long after the GVV programme is concluded.<\/p>

A legacy of impact<\/h5>

Over the past eight years, GVV has supported 40 alumni startups, with more than 85 per cent still operating today\u2014a survival rate above global averages. Some have been acquired, others have secured new funding, and all have contributed valuable lessons to Indonesia\u2019s innovation landscape.<\/p>
