With the right data, we also help our merchant-partners grow and thrive.<\/p><p>Providing data access to everyone at Grab is the challenge. In the past, Grabbers had to ask internal analysts for help, or learn how to navigate complex data dashboards, or write SQL queries. SQL is a programming language used to retrieve data from large datasets.\u00a0<\/p><p>We wanted to make it easier for everyone at Grab to get access to data that falls within their domain, without specific technical skills. We saw an opportunity with the rise of Large Language Models (LLMs) that can translate text to SQL.<\/p><p>The outcome is Jarvis, an AI-powered data assistant designed to make accessing insights as easy as asking a question!<\/p><p>Jarvis transformed how Grab operates, and it\u2019s a showcase for how AI can unlock the full potential of data for businesses everywhere.<\/p><h5>How Jarvis works<\/h5><p>Jarvis is powered by AI, combining natural language processing with advanced data analytics. Grabbers get the exact information they need\u2014without writing a single line of code.<\/p><p>Of course, Grabbers can retrieve only the type of data their role gives them access to. Jarvis understands the user\u2019s data access privileges and denies queries that are out of scope.<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li>Insights generator: from data to understanding<\/li><\/ol><p>Jarvis doesn\u2019t stop at delivering data. It helps teams interpret the numbers and uncover the \u201cwhy\u201d behind trends.<\/p><p>Whether it\u2019s diagnosing a revenue drop or identifying growth opportunities. Jarvis reveals what drives trends, anomalies, and gives explanations, turning numbers into narratives that teams can act on.\u00a0<\/p><h5>Real results across Grab<\/h5><p>Today, Jarvis has already transformed how teams work with data.\u00a0<\/p><p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/sg\/inside-grab\/stories\/grabx-ai-merchant-assistant\/\">Merchant AI Assistant<\/a> is powered by Jarvis and allows merchant-partners to check their sales performance and get tailored recommendations.
