This can feel like a hassle, whether you\u2019ve just returned home from a holiday, or touched down in a foreign city for a business trip.<\/p><p>With our latest update to Grab\u2019s Advance Booking feature, we hope to make things easier for travellers.<\/p><h5>Reducing uncertainty<\/h5><p>Many Grab users are already familiar with our Advance Booking option. Instead of relying on Grab\u2019s instant match-making, you can set the desired pick-up time in advance. It takes some uncertainty off your plate.<\/p><p>Currently, over 50 per cent of Grab\u2019s Advance Bookings are rides to the airport. It\u2019s clear that this feature is already a hit with travellers. What we needed to do is improve the experience when it comes to pickup from the airport.<\/p><p>We took in our user\u2019s top requests and created an updated airport pickup experience, which users can access within the Advance Booking feature.<\/p><p>So what does the new experience look like?<\/p><h5>Flight information integration<\/h5><p>One of the biggest upgrades we\u2019ve made to Advance Booking for airport pick up is flight information integration.<\/p><p>At the time you create a booking, simply enter your arrival date and flight number.\u00a0<\/p><p>We\u2019ll track your flight status and adjust the pickup time dynamically based on real-time flight updates! For example, if you know the airport is small, and you only have carry-on luggage, you can choose to have a driver waiting for you 30 minutes after touch-down.<\/p><p>For a user who wants more control for their pickup time, they can always set one based on their own preferences.\u00a0<\/p><p>The app\u2019s user interface will remind you at what time the driver is expecting you, and it will help you find the pick up spot with a step-by-step visual guide.<\/p><h5>Ready to pickup<\/h5><p>To prevent congestion at the designated pickup point, our drivers are on standby near the airport. Users simply need to tap on a button to signal their readiness to be picked up.
