Our driver-partners don\u2019t spend all their time behind the wheel. They enjoy the freedom to choose their driving schedule and hours, and our platform is designed with this flexibility in mind.<\/p>

However, for driver-partners who rent their vehicles, having an idle car sit for long periods of time means losing money. For instance, when they\u2019re away on holidays or taking days off.\u00a0<\/p>

So we tapped on our large driver base and tech to ease the cost of rental during these periods of inactivity. Now, driver-partners can find relief drivers to take over the wheel when they\u2019re not available. It\u2019s a win-win: The main driver-partners have an opportunity to mitigate their overall rental costs, and the relief drivers get access to vehicles based on the amount of time they can commit to driving.\u00a0<\/p>

Previously, our driver-partners used social platforms to find suitable relief drivers. But the process was time-consuming and required significant effort to locate an amenable driver-partner who is willing to share the rental cost.<\/p>

The Grab relief matching marketplace makes it much easier and safer to find a relief driver. Driver-partners can list the availability of their cars without divulging their personal information until a match is confirmed. They can also be assured that relief drivers on the platform are verified, active Grab driver-partners.<\/p>

Relief driver-partners, on the other hand, can conveniently browse through a list of vehicles available for sharing based on their preferred pickup location.\u00a0<\/p>

The relief-matching marketplace is already available for GrabRentals drivers to list their vehicle and we are looking to expand this to more driver-partners in Singapore in the coming months. In the meantime, all Grab driver-partners in Singapore can explore the marketplace and register as a relief driver.<\/p>

Finding a match<\/h5>

Driver-partners can add a new listing on the Grab Driver app and include details on the rental rate, time and days the vehicle will be available for relief.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Driver-partners who have listed their vehicles can manage requests by viewing the list of invites in the relief matching section of the app. If it\u2019s a match, the app will facilitate an exchange of contact details. The relief-matching marketplace was built to provide a platform for drivers-partners to share vehicles and costs conveniently and safely.
