 Terms and Conditions – Wallet/Flex

  1. Up to 10% cashback on accommodation bookings for Singapore destination hotels only, is available to Grab Singapore IP users using the hotels tile on Grab App and using Grabpay Mastercard to pay, from book dates 16 to 31 August 2020, with travel dates from 16 August 2020 to 31 Dec 2020.
  2. To avail of the promo offer, click on the Hotels icon in the Grab app and then select Booking .com and proceed with the following steps:
    1. The Grab app will automatically sign you into Booking.com mdot site on Grab
  • Search for the accommodation and travel dates
  • Choose the preferred accommodation and room type to see the rate and estimated cash back value
  • Tick the checkbox on Payment Page to enable cashback to the card
  • Use your Grabpay mastercard to complete payment
  1. Bookings made through the Booking.com app are not eligible for this promotion.
  2. Cancelled and “no show” bookings are not eligible.
  3. The reward will be credited at least 67 business days after completion of stay in the accommodation to Booking.com My Rewards
  4. The reward will be posted as a credit into the user’s Booking.com My Rewards. The reward can be transferred to a valid credit/debit card.
  5. Transferring to a credit/debit card:
    1. The user must hold a valid account on Booking.com and if the reward will be paid out to a credit card, they must have up-to-date valid credit card information added to the account.
  6. Accommodations that do not accept credit cards are not eligible for the offer. These are accommodations that only accept cash as a mode of payment and do not have a “cashback” badge displayed on their listing.
  7. The offer is subject to terms and conditions of Booking.com. In case of dispute, the decision of Booking.com and Grab shall be final.
  8. All conditions of the promotion must be met at the time the booking is made; no retroactive claims will be allowed.
  9. Wallet Credit can only be redeemed for properties that accept Booking Wallet payments.
  10. Bookings paid for with previously earned Wallet Credit may not be eligible to earn additional credit.
  11. The maximum amount of Wallet Credit that Booking.com B.V. will award is €1,000 per booking
  12. Wallet Credit will be granted only to the user who made the booking.
  13. Wallet Credits have an expiration period as from time to time determined by Booking.com. Different expiration periods can be applied to different credits. The expiration date of each Credit is displayed on www.booking.com in the user account settings section
  14. com Wallet Credit cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or money, or be used in conjunction with any other discount, promotions, discounted items and fixed prices unless otherwise stated.

Grab Singapore x Agoda – Additional 7% discount

  1. The Promotion is available to the qualifying and eligible Grabpay MasterCard cards issued in Singapore. Discount will be reflected at the payment page after keying in valid card details and payment must be made with a Grabpay MasterCard in order to enjoy the Promotion.
  2. Booking period: Now – 31 August 2020, Stay period: Now – 31 Dec 2020
  3. The Promotion is applicable for bookings of selected hotels (prepaid room types only, not valid for pay at hotel types) made through Grab hotels tile.
  4. This Promotion is only valid for hotels with the “Promo Eligible” tag on the room types search results page.
  5. The Promotion discount is applicable to hotel room charges only (excluding local taxes, service fees and additional charges).
  6. The Promotion cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
  7. The Promotion is non-transferable and non-cumulative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, cashback sites, loyalty programmes, rewards, promotions, discounted items and fixed price items (unless specified).
  8. The qualifying and participating cardholders are bound by the terms and conditions of Agoda and Grab.
  9. In case of dispute, the decision of Agoda shall be final.
  10. Grab and/or Agoda can change the terms of conditions at any point of time.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
