Terms and conditions
  • Grab your way to Disneyland® Paris Campaign (“Campaign”) is organized by GrabTaxi Pte Ltd and GrabCar Pte. Ltd. (“the Organisers”).
  • The Prize of the Campaign is a Disneyland® Paris holiday package for four (4) adults (“Prize”).
  • The Campaign is only available for GrabUnlimited users and not for non-GrabUnlimited users. For more information about GrabUnlimited, visit GrabUnlimited information page.
  • Giveaway mechanics:
    • Step 1: Subscribe to GrabUnlimited
    • Step 2: Earn chances with every order from GrabFood or GrabMart. – 3 chances per order from “GrabUnlimited Deals” participating merchants, 1 chance from every other merchant
  • The draw will be conducted at 3 PM on 3 August 2023. Winners are drawn at random by Grab (by computerised means), in the presence of external auditors. In claiming the prize, Grab may request for identification documents or further information from you to verify and check the authenticity of the prize winner, to prevent gaming and fraud.
  • Prize redemption method:
    • Prize winner will receive a push and inbox notification (“Prize Notification”) within seven (7) days from the date of the draw, which directs the winner to fill in their contact details via a Google Form.
    • Winner’s contact details will be shared to the appointed travel agent (Sino-America Tours Corporation Pte Ltd) for the purpose of prize redemption.
  • The prize winner will also be announced on the Campaign website and through Grab’s social media accounts.
  • Winners are required to respond to the Prize Notification within the stipulated timeline. Otherwise, it shall be deemed that the winner waived its right to receive the Prize and Grab shall not process the Prize to such user.
  • Winner of the Disneyland® Paris holiday package shall redeem and utilise the holiday package by 16 December 2023.
  • User’s failure to redeem and utilise the Prize within the stipulated time frame due to any reason whatsoever, e.g. visa restrictions etc, shall be deemed as user’s waiver of its right to redeem the Prize.
  • Any prizes which are not redeemed or utilised by the stipulated timeline may be forfeited (or disposed of, or donated) or Grab may draw a replacement winner, all at Grab’s discretion. Grab is not responsible and shall not entertain any request for claim, refund or compensation arising from user’s failure or inability to redeem the prize within the stipulated time frame.
  • Grab may, at its sole and absolute discretion, substitute the Prize for another prize of similar value, in circumstances that include unavailability of the Prize, illegality or non-feasibility.
  • Unless otherwise provided, all Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash/credit in kind.
  • Limit one (1) Prize per (1) one user.
  • User agrees that the user is in compliance with Grab’s terms of service applicable for the Grab service provided, as stipulated in https://www.grab.com/terms-policies. The Prize is governed by its applicable terms and conditions.
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of the whole terms and conditions in relation to this Campaign at any time without giving any prior notice to the user and the user agrees to be bound by those changes and Grab reserves the right to make final decisions in any matters relating to this Campaign.
  • By taking part in this Campaign, the user hereby warrants and undertakes that the user has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Further, the user hereby acknowledges and agrees to Grab and/or such third-party appointed by Grab for collecting and processing your personal data to give full effect to this campaign, for the express purpose of informing you of your win and/or informing the public of a winner, including but not limited to sending communications to notify of a win (in-app push notification or email), announcing your name, and/or releasing a photograph of you as the Grand Prize winner in our winner’s announcement, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and Grab’s Privacy Notice.
  • The user also acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by these terms and conditions and decisions of Grab without limitation or qualification. User further agrees that all decisions from Grab shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained.
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify any user or reject users deemed ineligible for the Campaign (be it under these Terms & Conditions or if the participant has engaged in a conduct that Grab considers fraudulent, inappropriate or unacceptable).
  • Grab shall not be liable for any claims by the consumers or third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third-party, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this activity.
  • Grab does not take any responsibility in the case of any event that may prevent the participants from participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure, which include but is not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention, pandemic, movement control orders, and acts of God etc.
  • Employees of Grab are not eligible to participate in the draw.

  • These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Singapore. And any disputes related will be under the jurisdiction of the non-exclusive case of the Singapore court.
  • The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Pte. Limited and each of their respective parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Disney”) are not responsible for the promotion, administration or execution of the Campaign and/or the delivery of the Prizes, and exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from the Campaign and/or the Prizes.
  Prize Package Terms and conditions
  1. GrabCar Pte Ltd and GrabTaxi Pte Ltd (the “Organisers”) have appointed Sino-America Tours Corporation Pte Ltd (“Travel Agent”) to handle the complete fulfilment of the Disneyland® Paris holiday prize. Sino-America Tours Corporation Pte Ltd is registered in Singapore, with Company Registration number 197400193H registered to address 1 Park Road #04-62 People’s Park Complex Singapore 059108.
  2. Prize package is for four (4) adults.
  3. Prize package includes:
    • Return economy flight tickets for four (4) adults
    • Hotel stay with tickets to Disneyland® Paris Park throughout whole stay
      • 3 days, 2 nights
      • Empire State Club room at the Disney’s Hotel New York The Art of Marvel
        • *4 pax package will get either 2 large beds or 1 large bed and a bunk bed, according to availability
      • Gourmet breakfast in a dedicated hotel lounge
      • 3 days of unlimited access to both Disney ® ParkS. i) (Disneyland® Park & Walt Disney Studios Park), excluding fast-lane.
      • Extra Magic Hours: access to the Disney® Parks before the official opening time
    • Inclusive benefits:
      • Free beverages and afternoon snacks served in a dedicated hotel lounge
      • 10% discount in all La Vallée Village shops with free shuttle from the hotel

  4. Prize validity period: Valid for use until 16th December 2023.
  5. The validity period of the Prize is as stated above and any further extension is not allowed.
  6. Any additional amount incurred beyond the stipulated value stated above shall be borne by the Prize winner solely and the Organisers or their affiliates shall not be liable.
  7. All travel arrangements for redemption are to be arranged by Prize winner with the travel agent (Sino-America Tours Corporation Pte Ltd) stated in the Prize Notification and must be in written email to the travel agent: fit@satours.com.sg and enquiry@satours.com.sg or call the travel agent at (65) 6535 8911.
  8. The Prize is not-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash.
  9. The winner of the Prize and the winner’s nominee(s) (collectively referred to as the “Travellers”) must book/travel together upon redemption.
  10. Prize winner should redeem the Prize at least two (2) months prior to the travelling date.
  11. The winner of the Disneyland® Paris Prize Package acknowledges that components of the Disneyland® Paris Prize Package are subject to terms and conditions set by Disneyland® Paris, and that in accepting the Disneyland® Paris Prize Package, the Travellers agree to comply with all such terms and conditions.
  12. Airline seats and hotel rooms are subject to availability. Alternative dates would be advised by the Travel Agent if the Prize winners desired flight dates and/or accommodation dates are not available. The Travel Agent may (but shall not be obliged to) allow prize winner to top-up and/or propose an alternative airline and/or accommodation to the Prize winners.
  13. No payment, replacement or compensation whether in cash, credit or kind shall be made by the Organiser for any unclaimed, lost, misplaced, defaced, stolen or damaged Prize or Prize Notification or in the event that a winner is unable to enjoy the Prize for any reason whatsoever.
  14. It is the responsibility of the Prize winner and Travellers to ensure that they possess all necessary travel documentation (including valid passports and visas) for the purposes of enjoying the Prize. In the event that the Travellers are unable to obtain the necessary travel documentation for the purposes of enjoying the Prize, the Prize shall be forfeited, and the Organiser shall not be liable to make any payment or compensation to the Travellers.
  15. All entry visas, ESTA forms, and/or travel documents are the sole responsibility of the winner including visa costs if applicable. The Travel Agent does not arrange entry visas.
  16. The Prize winner and Travellers shall be responsible for their meals, transportation, visa or passport application, travel insurance, daily expenses, airport transfer and costs in connection with any other incidental arrangements they may make in connection with their enjoyment of the Prize including any costs the Travellers may incur should they wish to extend their holiday. All costs incurred in connection with the aforementioned shall not be borne by the Organiser.
  17. Unless otherwise stated in the package, all other costs including meals and spending money are the responsibility of the prize winner and Travellers.
  18. All prize winners will receive a Prize Notification from Grab that they have won a prize within seven (7) days after the draw has been carried out.
  19. Personal information about prize winners will be requested from Grab via the Prize Notification and to be shared with the Travel Agent to the extent necessary for prizes to be delivered to the prize winners. The Travel Agent will be solely responsible for the processing of the personal information thereafter.
  20. Prize winners will be contacted by the Travel Agent to perform necessary arrangements for the purpose of prize redemption.
  21. Once confirmed in writing, travel dates and names of those travelling are not changeable without incurring extra fees and may not be possible if a non-refundable or non-changeable ticket has been purchased.
  22. The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Pte. Limited and each of their respective parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Disney”) are not responsible for the promotion, administration or execution of the delivery of the Prize, and exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from the campaign and/or the Prize.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
