Register your PMD by 30 June 2019!

Under the Active Mobility Act, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has come up with a set of regulations to ensure footpath safety for all users and pedestrians. Under this act, all E-Scooters are required to be registered with LTA by 30 June 2019.

At Grab, we want to ensure that all of our delivery partners are aware of and abide by this regulation. As our records show that you are performing deliveries on a personal mobility device (PMD), kindly follow the titles that are applicable to your registration needs:

  • I have not registered my PMD
  • My PMD is already registered
  • My PMD does not need to be registered with LTA
  • I am registered as a PMD driver but using another vehicle on GrabFood

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
