In case you missed it, here’s what you need to know about the new regulation:
Existing GrabFood PMD delivery-partners may still deliver with PMD for now. However, delivery-partners have to follow all the existing rules and regulations. For a more seamless delivery experience, we encourage delivery-partners to deliver using other vehicle types.
Do note that there will an advisory period until 31 December 2019, after which, errant riders caught riding on footpaths will face the possibility of being fined, and/or jailed.
Footpath refers to pedestrian pathways and pavement refers to road for automotive vehicles and electric bicycles.
Effective from today (4 Nov 2019), Grab will no longer accept new PMD delivery-partners.
For delivery-partners who wish to change the mode of delivery, it can be done so via GrabFood Help Centre.
Approximately 1 to 3 working days for the Grab team to verify and approve the change.
As of 5 November 2019, GrabFood will be accepting all individuals with valid Class 2/2A/2B license including those with less than 1 year of riding experience. Delivery-partner is allowed to registered the mode of delivery as Motorcycle
