GrabRentals Usage-Based Insurance Trial

By Invitation only

GrabRentals is running a 12-week Usage-Based Insurance Trial starting 3 Aug 2020, and here is a chance to earn up to $150 worth of rebates just by driving safely!

How do I participate?

Simply follow these steps to opt-in:

  1. Sign-up the opt-in form via the Grab Driver in-app.
  2. You will receive a confirmation message with an online training link if you’re selected.
  3. Next, complete the online training.
  4. Start driving safely!

How do I get up to $150 worth of rebate?

*Rebate for 12 weeks will be paid in lump sum after the trial period

Meet these requirements when the trial starts!

  • Achieve low harsh braking count per 100km
  • Remain accident free (excluding windscreen)
  • Drive the same vehicle throughout the trial without a relief driver
  • Travel a minimum monthly mileage of 750km
  • Complete the 12-week trial

By collecting the driving data through Toyota’s in-vehicle data transmission device, we are able to provide you with your daily harsh braking count. This allows you to be more aware of your driving behaviour on the road, and helps you to drive more safely.

You will be updated daily via in-app notification. The daily count reflected is for the previous day’s.

Drive with caution! Adopt good driving habits.

You are encouraged to:

  • Avoid tailgating. Always keep a safe distance
  • Look further ahead, allowing you to predict traffic conditions & have longer reaction time to brake to stop
  • Release your accelerator pedal early to slow down & break smoothly

Play your part in reducing accidents on the roads when you avoid harsh braking!

Terms & Conditions

  • Eligible for invited GrabRentals Hirer-Partners only.
  • Rebate for the 12-week trial will only be paid after the trial has ended.
  • You will no longer be eligible for any rebate if you change vehicle, or add an additional driver to your vehicle during the trial period.
  • In any case of dispute, Grab Rentals Pte Ltd reserves the right to make the final decision.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
