Terms & Conditions (Free Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme for Brand New Hyundai Avante Hybrid only)

1. You will not be charged for the Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme as long as you continue to rent the same vehicle from Grab Rentals Pte Ltd (“GrabRentals”).

2. The Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme is eligible for contract/recontract* only. *If you are recontracting with the same vehicle, you may only opt-in for VDP if you recontract for a minimum rental period of 12 months or longer.

3. Opt-out of the Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme is NOT allowed at any time during the duration of the vehicle rental agreement unless with GrabRental’s consent.

4. This scheme only covers damages existing as at the time of return of the Vehicle to GrabRentals, at the expiry or termination of the vehicle rental agreement.

5. The following categories/items are not covered under this scheme: a) Damage to the Vehicle caused by vandalism, road accident, car wraps, or car modifications; b) Any personal injury or property damage caused by the Vehicle or an accident involving the Vehicle; c) Loss or damage arising from an accident; d) Lost items; e) Damaged/lost vehicle key; and f) Lost hub-cap.

6. For avoidance of doubt, with the exception of loss/damage which falls within the scope of paragraph 5 above, the following items are covered under this scheme: scratches, dents, major damages (exposing base or metal), bumper, side skirt, headlight, taillight, windscreen patching, hub cap, tyre sidewall damage and undercarriage cover.

7. In the event of any ambiguity or dispute as to whether any loss/damage/expense is covered by this scheme, GrabRentals shall have the sole discretion to decide on the same.

8. If damage exceeds the coverage limit of $3,000 (inclusive of GST), you have to pay all repair costs in excess of such coverage limit.

9. Cost of body damage(s) will be based on GrabRentals’ prevailing rate card from time to time.

10. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and those of the rental agreement, these Vehicle Damage Protection Terms & Conditions shall take precedence to the extent of shal conflict or inconsistency.

11. GrabRentals reserves the right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of this scheme and its terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
