All Electric Vehicles (EV) Charging Stations in Singapore must comply with Technical Reference 25 (TR 25) and obtain an approval label issued by LTA before installation. This standard establishes crucial safety and operational guidelines. Additionally, LTA mandates all charging points to be inspected at least 2 to 3 times a year to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Most EVs in Singapore are rated with 400 – 500 km of range on a full charge, but depending on an individual’s driving style, these numbers may fluctuate. 

Minimally, most EVs would have a travel range of at least 350 km, which is plenty for three round trips around Singapore. Therefore, you will easily have enough juice in the “tank” to get you home, or to the next charging station.
