FAQs

Once Jurong Island has completed a background check and approved the application, successful applicants will be informed by Grab through SMS to proceed to Jurong Island Long Term Pass Office for pass collection.

You must wait for Grab’s SMS before going to the pass office.  Jurong Island will not process direct applications.

JTC charges a one-time $10 fee for the security pass. This is a one-time fee and is payable by NETS only. Cash and Credit Card payment options is not available.

This Beta will run until the end of 2019 and may be extended after a review.  Your security pass will be extended if you have been actively picking up passengers from Jurong Island.

However, passes will be deactivated by Jurong Island for security reasons, if no entry has been detected within 90 days (Singaporean/PR).

If your pass is deactivated, you will need to go to the Long Term Pass Office to get it reactivated.

Security Passes that are deactivated may be reactivated at the cost of your time and inconvenience.  Security Passes that are revoked on the other hand, cannot be used anymore.  Grab reserves the right to revoke the Security Passes of driver partners who are dormant for 6 months (no ride jobs taken in 6 months on the Grab Platform), have been banned on the Grab platform, or use their pass for any other purpose other than to pick up or dropping off Grab riders.

There is a surcharge for all pick-ups originating from Jurong Island, which would be added automatically into the fare.

No, you will not be able to receive a booking from Jurong Island due to distance. However as a holder of the Long Term Pass you will be able to drop off employees on Jurong Island. Remember to confirm with the employee that they are Long Term Pass Holders to avoid having to wait 30-45 mins at the pass office!
