With extension of the Circuit Breaker period, we would like to introduce the Extended GrabRentals Booster Plan. Eligible GrabRentals Hirer-Partners will be offered the following forms of financial support:

Note: 

*0%/5% commission applies only to GrabRentals main-hirers doing Grab rides (GrabCar, JustGrab) in their GrabRentals vehicle.

FAQs

  • GrabRentals Main-Hirers will enjoy reduced commissions on GrabCar rides using their GrabRentals vehicle from 4 May – 21 June 2020
  • Main-Hirers will continue to enjoy 0% commissions on GrabCar rides in each of the subsequent weeks (from Monday, 12.30pm, weekly) as long as they complete at least 10 GrabFood, GrabMart or GrabExpress deliveries in each of the immediate prior weeks. Commissions of 5% on GrabCar rides will be charged otherwise
  • Kindly note that GrabMart orders will only be included from 1 June 2020 while GrabExpress-Bike orders will not be included
  • Otherwise, commission of 5% will be charged for the GrabCar rides
  • GrabRentals Hirer-Partners will only be charged for 5 days of rental per week, from Monday to Friday.
  • For Hirer-Partners who collect their car on any of these Fridays (8 May, 15 may, 22 May and 29 May, 5 June, 12 June and 19 June) after 3pm, the free weekend rental charges will only apply on the subsequent weekend.
  • Free rental does not cover daily payments for the Collision Damage Waiver scheme.
  • ALL GrabRentals vehicles have been permitted by LTA to carry out GrabFood (GF), GrabMart (GM) and GrabExpress (GE) deliveries
  • Our cars are already covered with valid insurance so that our Hirer-Partners can start delivering as soon as possible to supplement their earnings
  • Simply complete the online training here, and we will activate your account for GF, GM and GE deliveries within 3 weeks

Terms & Conditions

To be eligible for this, Renter must:

  1. Have a PDVL or TDVL.
  2. Rent from GrabRentals’ own fleet.
  3. Have an active contract at the point of signing up.
  4. Make timely payment of all Rental Charges & CDW charges at all times.
  5. Make timely reporting of all accidents, thefts & other incidents in accordance with the Rental Agreement.
  6. Fulfil the rental contract agreed upon your rental agreement (Any early termination including temporary returns will result in the clawback of any benefits, incentive and/or reimbursement made under this programme)

Please also note that to be eligible for the Booster Plan benefits mentioned above, the Renter will:

  1. No longer be able to claim any GrabRentals Beyond Loyalty Programme benefits such as Rental Holidays, Tenure-based Benefits, Rental Recovery Days until end of Sept 2020.
  2. Not be allowed to change his/her vehicle unless due to special circumstances.

For New Hirers:

  • Activation of 5% Commission on all Grab rides will begin one day after the collection date. Qualification for 0% commission will then take place as highlighted in the FAQ above.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
