What incentives does Grab offer?
As a Grab driver-partner, you will receive a weekly email regarding our incentives.
How and when do I get paid?
Our flexible payment options allow for both cash and credit card jobs. For credit card jobs, you will receive payment immediately into your Grab Driver App cash wallet after the job is completed.
You can instantly cash out earnings from your driver app cash wallet into your bank account at any time (including on Sundays and Public Holidays), up to twice every 24 hours. Please note instant cash out requests require a minimum amount of $50 to a maximum of $5,000.

Does Grab take any commission?
Yes, Grab takes a maximum of 20.18% commission.
Is there a minimum driving period?
Absolutely not! There is no minimum driving period and no minimum number of trips required. Drive where you want, when you want. Some of our drivers make more than $700 just driving on weekends!
I already have a job. Can I still drive with Grab?
Of course! We have a lot of part-time drivers on our platform. This is because there are no minimum hours required to drive with us.
I don’t have a car. Can I still drive with Grab?
Sure thing! You have the option of renting from our exclusive partner fleets, or any other rental company. Rental rates start as low as $50/day.
What is PDVL (Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence)?
PDVL refers to the official licence required for all drivers who wish to provide chauffeured services. This regulation is a requirement by LTA and is estimated to take effect by mid 2017.

I have other commitments on weekdays. Can I submit my application online?
Yes, of course! Simply visit signup.grab.com at your convenience to submit your application along with your supporting documents. Please note that, in order for us to activate your account, you would need to attend a compulsory 60-min training session held at our office.
To save time, we suggest that you attend our training session on the same day you submit your application and supporting documents. This ensures you will be earning extra in no time.
Our training sessions are held at our office and scheduled as follows:
- Monday – Friday: 11am, 1pm, 3pm & 5pm
- Saturday: 12pm
Does the ownership of my car need to be changed to my new business prior to driving with Grab?
Yes, the ownership of your car needs to be transferred to your new business. In order to transfer, you have the option of refinancing your loan or paying off your loan in full.
What should I do if my car loan is not fully paid up?
If your car is still on loan, you will need to refinance your car loan. Please talk to our preferred refinancing partner for help.

Does driving with Grab affect my road tax?
No. Road tax is determined by the size of the car and not how it is being used.
I want to use Grab exclusively. Can I sign up and do I get any additional loyalty benefits?
Under the CCCS’ directions, Grab is required to ensure that all of its driver-partners are able to drive for other platforms at the same time, and no drivers are penalised for not driving for Grab exclusively.
We have various non-exclusive programmes that you can participate in. More details are available at the Grab’s website – https://www.grab.com/sg/gcdriverbenefits/. All driver-partners are also automatically enrolled under the Emerald Circle which provides a wide variety of benefits.

Why does my car need to be registered as Z10/Z11?
This is a requirement by LTA. A Z10/Z11 vehicle log refers to private hire cars.
Why does my car need to be commercially insured?
With commercial insurance, both you and your rider will be adequately protected should an accident happen.
What is Relief Driver Security Deposit for?
To foster consideration & best interest for both parties, GrabRentals will hold a ‘Security Deposit’ of $500 from the Relief Driver.
How many relief drivers can a main hirer have?
A main hirer can register up to two additional drivers.
Is relief driver eligible for ‘Loyalty Rental Rebate’?
Yes. The relief driver will be eligible for the Loyalty Rental Rebate.

Can I be the relief driver for multiple main hirers at the same time?
It is NOT advisable, as your driver app can only capture one vehicle record at one time.
Who is eligible?
Any Grab driver renting from GrabRentals or a participating Fleet Partner** will be eligible for the Loyalty Rental Rebate.
When is the program period?
The GrabRentals Loyalty Rental Rebate program will begin from 1st April 2019 till 29th Sep 2019.
How do the trip count and reward mechanisms work?
If you have updated the vehicle details with Grab or collected the vehicle mid-week, you may see the incentive scheme in your in-app notification that week. However, the official incentive / trip count starts from the following Monday (after successful update of vehicle details) 12:00 AM till Sunday 11:59 PM.
‘My Destination’ and ‘Premium’ Trips DO NOT qualify towards the trip count requirement.
What are the exclusions ?
No exclusions as of 14 March 2019.
I’m a relief driver driving a rented car from GrabRentals/GrabRentals’ Fleet Partner. Will I be eligible for this rebate?
Both the main hirer and relief driver will be eligible for this.
