If you’re new to Grab, this is where it all starts. As a first step, you’ll need to learn the rules & regulations set by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). You’ll also need to learn the knowledge & skills required of all new Grab driver-partners – such as vehicle safety & maintenance and customer service. GrabSmart Beginner Training

New and reactivating driver-partners will be sent a link to an in-app course called “App Smart:. This course includes training on all you need to know about Grab driver app, including:

2 Accepting & Completing a job
3 Back-to-Back jobs and Multi-Stop Rides
4 Success with GrabShare

These GrabSmart courses can be accessed via the in-app training link which will be sent to you if you are a new or re-activating driver-partner. Courses include:

Safety & Quality Driving Assessment
This is a mandatory in-person test at Comfort Driving Centre.
You’ll be assessed on:

How will you observe safety procedures while driving
Your driving behaviour and how well you provide a comfortable ride

Trainees will learn the knowledge, skills, attitude and habits required of a professiona chauffeur before using a private hire car to serve the evolving needs of communters, while complying with the rules and regulations set by LTA.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
