On-the-job training includes optional mentoring and personal development programmes so you can keep improving. There are also mandatory refresher programmes for driver-partners who fall short of our standards.

Co-Pilot Programme
This initiative assists newly on-board driver-partners by pairing them with existing Grabbers for a period of 4 weeks. Part of the programme may include on-job training, as well as a detailed run-through of the Driver App and benefits of the Grab Platform. All newly-onboarded driver-partners will receive a call from the Acquisition team to invite them to attend the Co-Pilot Programme within 24hrs of activation of account.

Captain Programme
This programme provides a means for sharing “tricks of the trade” among experienced Grab driver-partners in a structured manner, with useful tips on how to improve earnings and handle common problems.
[Note: The launch of this programme is currently delayed because of COVID-19]

For driver-partners who fail to meet the minimum service & behavior requirements, refresher training is mandatory and takes the form of face-to-face discussions or additional training. This may even include suspension/banning of account.

    GrabFood delivery-partner, Thailand

    COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

    As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

    Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
