FAQs
Can I buy Personal Accident Plus if I have other personal accident insurance plans already?
The benefits in this policy are payable in addition to any other insurance benefits that you may be entitled to. Except for medical expenses that you incur as a result of an accident because they are on a reimbursement basis as stated in the policy.
What will happen to my free Group Personal Accident benefit if I buy Personal Accident Plus?
Nothing! You will continue to receive the benefits under the Group Personal Accident plan as it is provided free to you by Grab.
Am I covered out of Singapore?
Yes, you are covered at all times, worldwide.
Does Personal Accident Plus cover me only when I am driving?
You are covered at all times, whether you are driving or not.
Will my Personal Accident Plus coverage be valid if I am no longer a Grab driver?
Yes. However if you had purchased the product via the drivers app, you won’t have access to the app anymore if you are no longer a Grab driver-partner. Please contact Chubb Insurance to re-enrol.
Does this policy cover me for illnesses?
No it doesn’t.
What do you mean by a pre-existing medical condition?
Any condition for which a doctor was consulted, or for which treatment or medication was prescribed within 12 months preceding your policy commitment
When can I make a claim?
After your accident, please submit all necessary documents to make a claim within 30 days.
For Personal Accident Plus, can I increase or decrease my coverage limit, or add coverage for my dependents?
Yes, you will be able to make changes to your policy anytime via your Grab drivers app.
How do I make a claim?
Please submit your claims online at Chubb Claim Centre. Alternatively, you may contact Chubb’s Customer Service Hotline at 6299 0988 (Mondays to Fridays, 9.00am – 5.00pm, excluding Public Holidays) for help in filing a claim.
How long does it take to receive the payout?
Upon receiving your claim document, Chubb will do an assessment. It will take about 10 working days to process the payout and 2 to 3 additional working days for inter-bank transfer, if no additional documents are required.
How will I be paid?
You may choose to receive your payment by cheque or through internet banking
