#DeliveringHappyness to underserved children

Every child’s potential is limitless. In Southeast Asia however, not all of them enjoy the same access to knowledge or even basic school stationery.

This 12th to 24th December (10am to 6pm), brighten up the lives of underserved children with your preloved or new children’s books, toys and stationery to non-profit organizations, rural libraries and community centres. Just follow the steps below.

FAQs

Children’s books (English or others), toys or school stationery (writing and drawing material, school bags, or pencil cases) or a mixture of all 3, for children between the ages of 4 to 12 years old. Please keep items unwrapped. Give as many as you wish, so long as they can fit within a cabin luggage size.

Donation date will be from 12 December 2016 to 24 December 2016, and between the time 10:00 – 18:00. Do note you can only donate if you see the below icon on our app

No you will not. Grab will take care of the fare to pick up and drop off the donated items at no cost to the passengers or drivers.

Upon selecting the “Delivering Happyness” icon on the Grab app, please key in “Delivering Happyness” in the drop-off location bar. A drop down menu will appear with a list of Delivering Happyness drop-off points. Just select the one closest to you.

It will be at the below locations. We are thankful to the South storage space, provided for free through courtesy of our generous partner LOCK AND STORE.

North: Grab North (#01-143, Midview City, 28 Sin Ming Lane, 573972)

We are working with Salvation Army, Singapore Red Cross and Wishing Well who will receive these donated items and distribute them directly to the beneficiaries, who are underserved children. Find out more about them here

Please make sure that you are on the latest version of the Grab app. If not you may update via Google Play or App Store. Also, the Delivering Happyness fleet is only available from 10:00 – 18:00 from 12 December to 24 December 2016.

Lock+Store, a subsidiary of Singapore Post Ltd, is a one-stop self-storage hub in Singapore offering flexible term storage facilities and office space for households, wine collectors and distributors, start-ups, SMEs and large corporations. Believing in our cause, Lock + Store has joined our cause by providing free storage space for the donated items.

The campaign is organised by Grabtaxi Holding Pte Ltd (“the Organiser”) and is open to all Singapore citizens, permanent residents residing in Singapore and foreigners who are travelling or working in Singapore.

  • Grab reserves the right to reject any item donated that the Organiser deems unsuitable.
  • No cash or credit donations will be accepted, and no payment shall be made to the donor of the items.
  • The participant is not allowed to ride along with the items.
  • Each ride is strictly for one pick up and one drop off only. Multiple pick-up points are not allowed and the Grab driver shall refuse such requests.
  • Each booking is strictly for pick-up of donated items only, and no passengers will be allowed to ride with the items to the drop-off location
  • The elected Grab driver has the right to reject items that are unsuitable upfront.

By taking part in this campaign, you have indicated that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. You also acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions below and decisions of the Organiser without limitation or qualification. You further agree that all decisions of the Organiser shall be final and conclusive.

Campaign Duration:

The Campaign will run from 12th December 2016 to 24th December 2016 only. The Organiser reserves the sole and absolute right to alter or end the Campaign at any time prior to the expiry of the Campaign Period without giving any prior notice and no compensation in cash or in kind shall be given.

How To Enter:

Participants can enter the Campaign by downloading the Grab mobile application (iOS, Android and/or BlackBerry (Z10 or Q10 and above). Participants are required to include their name, mobile phone number and email address for further communication and verification purposes. Just go to ‘Profile’ to register and activate your Grab account. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on our website.

The Organiser reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify any participant or reject qualifying participants deemed ineligible (be it under these Terms & Conditions or has engaged in a conduct that the Organiser considers inappropriate or unacceptable).

General Terms & Limitation of Liability:

Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of the whole terms and conditions in relation to this Campaign at any time without giving any prior notice to the Customers and the Customers agree to be bound by those changes.

Grab’s decisions in any matter in relations to the Campaign shall be final and conclusive.

Grab shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third-party, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this Campaign.
