Disney has announced today that the screening of Mulan has been postponed globally. They are now working towards a new release date, which will be announced when determined.

Unfortunately, this means we will be unable to accept new opt-ins to our Disney’s Mulan Challenge, with immediate effect.

For users who have already begun—or completed—the “Disney’s Mulan” Challenge, rest assured that your rewards will still be honoured. Upon completion of the challenge, your Mulan ticket vouchers can be found in your “My Rewards” catalogue, and will be valid for the new screening dates of Disney’s Mulan (actual dates to be advised).

  • The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Pte. Limited and each of their respective parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries are not responsible for the promotion, administration or execution of this contest and reward redemption campaign.
  • All prize winners will receive confirmation that they have won a prize via e-mail and by phone (providing a contact number has been provided) within three days of the competition being finished.
  • Winners must provide a copy of their passports or identification as proof of their eligibility to accept the prizes.
  • All prizes are non-transferable and cannot be converted into cash. In the unlikely event that a prize should become unavailable for any reason whatsoever Grab reserves the right to substitute a prize which it may determine as being of equal value.
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of the whole terms and conditions in relation to this Campaign at any time without giving any prior notice to the Customers and the Customers agree to be bound by those changes.
  • Grab’s decisions in any matter in relations to the Campaign shall be final and conclusive.
  • Grab shall not be liable for any claims by the Customers or third-party claims or loses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third-part, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this Campaign.
  • By taking part in this Campaign, you have indicated that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Further, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the foregoing and consent to the use of your personal data as set out above and in accordance with Grab’s Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions below and decisions of Grab without limitation or qualification. You further agree that all decisions from Grab shall be final and conclusive.
  • In order to complete this challenge, a minimum of 6 transactions must be made after Challenge is accepted, of which 3 transactions are Grab rides, and 3 transactions are GrabFood orders. All transactions need to be above $10, and made using your GrabPay Wallet as payment method.
  • Delivery fee does not count towards the min. spend of $10 for GrabFood transactions.
  • GrabTaxi transactions are only eligible if the lowest price on the quoted range is higher than the min. spend of $10 for transactions.
  • For transactions to count towards this Challenge, no promo codes can be used.
  • Each Challenge cannot be shared.
  • Each Challenge is specially designed for every individual user and may receive different Challenges, limited to the user who has access to the Challenge in their app. Grab reserves the right to limit accessibility of participants to the Challenge in their app.
  • Challenge is only valid from 9 March 2020 – 29 March 2020. Challenge will end on the 29th of March 11:59pm, or when the limited availability of prizes has run out, whichever comes sooner.
  • Challenge is only valid when you are in Singapore. Any Grab transaction made outside Singapore will not contribute towards this Challenge.
  • All Grab rides are eligible for this Challenge, except for GrabHitch, GrabCoach and GrabShuttle.
  • GrabFood orders on Domino’s do not count towards the Challenge.
  • Successful completion of the transaction will entitle you to the prize of 2x movie ticket vouchers to see Disney’s Mulan at Cathay Cineplexes.
  • This Challenge cannot be replayed once it is completed or the period has ended.
  • 2x movie ticket vouchers to see Disney’s Mulan at Cathay Cineplexes will be issued to the first 3000 Grab users who successfully complete the Challenge.
  • Grab users who have completed the Challenge will be awarded the reward to the “My Rewards” section of their Grab app within 6 hours.
  • You agree that you are in compliance with Grab’s terms of service applicable for the Grab service provided, as stipulated in the Grab app. Each reward is governed by its applicable terms of use. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions in each reward for such applicable terms.
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of the whole terms and conditions in relation to this contest at any time without giving any prior notice to you and you agree to be bound by those changes.

  • All prizes must be claimed/redeemed within the stipulated deadline. Any prizes not claimed by the deadline may be forfeited (or disposed of, or donated, all at Grab’s discretion), and no claims whatsoever for payment or compensation shall be entertained.
  • Unless otherwise provided, all prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash/credit in kind.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
  • This voucher entitles you to one screening of Disney’s Mulan at any Cathay Cineplex.
  • This voucher is only valid till end of movie run for Disney’s Mulan. Strictly no extension will be permitted.
  • This voucher is only valid for a 2D standard seat for Disney’s Mulan for any available show time at Cathay Cineplex.
  • Strictly no redemption for other movie, except for Disney’s Mulan, will be permitted.
  • This voucher can be used from Monday to Sunday, including Eve of Public Holiday and Public Holiday.
  • This voucher is not valid for a 3D movie, Tamil, Hindi, Special-Priced Tickets, Movie Marathon, Platinum Movie Suites and Film Festival title.
  • Original voucher on the Grab app must be presented at point of purchase and will be retained by Cathay Cineplexes upon redemption.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
