Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is muuse and how is GrabFood involved?

A: Muuse is an environmental startup with the mission to fight single-use packaging waste. muuse has created a membership-based system of reusable cups and food boxes for takeaway and delivery across Singapore. As part of our pilot programme, GrabFood is partnering with muuse and participating merchants with the aim of reducing single-use food packaging in our deliveries by providing an option to opt-in to muuse reusable containers.

Q: Why should I opt in for muuse reusable containers and how does it help the environment?

A: We believe that every act matters and small, daily choices can have a big impact on our planet. By returning and reusing containers, this would directly reduce resource usage and prevent single-use packaging waste leakage into the environment.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
