A simple guide to topping up your GrabPay Wallet.

Time to brush up on your ABCs! Topping up your GrabPay Wallet really doesn’t get any easier than this.

Ask your friends

No, we don’t mean to ask your friends for money (but if they’re feeling extra generous, why not?). But a completely free and simple way to top up your GrabPay Wallet is by getting your friends to pay you back with GrabPay credits!

Bank Accounts

a. PayNow VPA
No QR codes required, no card details to be saved, and zero top-up fees.
From your banking app, just enter your VPA (a unique identifier linked to your GrabPay Wallet) to specify your GrabPay Wallet as the recipient. Here’s a tip to remember your VPA easily: it will always be your Grab-registered mobile number followed by #GRAB.
If you’ve got friends who need to transfer money to you, here’s another tip for you! They can also enter your VPA ending with #GRAB to do a direct PayNow transfer to your GrabPay Wallet.
b. Linked UOB account
This one’s specially for UOB bank account holders: link your UOB account to your GrabPay Wallet using a secure OTP confirmation and top up your GrabPay Wallet from your UOB account anytime you need.

Credit and debit cards

a. Mastercard, Visa and American Express credit or debit cards
Link your cards in the Grab app and top-up seamlessly.
b. Use auto top-up
Set a balance amount that will trigger an auto top-up of your preferred amount and never worry about having insufficient balance when you’re just about to pay, ever again.

GrabFood delivery-partner, Thailand

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
