10 reasons why you’ll love your ‘shop now, pay later’ buddy.

Okay don’t dump your current BFF just yet. By being BFFs with PayLater, we mean that it’s your Buy First Friend. Uh huh, it’s that friend that’ll pay for you first, while you pay them back later. Ah, who wouldn’t want such a good, good friend? Now, get to know your soon-to-be BFF a little better.

1. It’s super flexible

Helping you pay in two ways:
1
Pay in 4 monthly instalments: Shop online and split large bills into 4 payments.
2
For online shoppers who prefer 1 payment the following month, or Grab users who want to consolidate their monthly Grab spend into one bill.

2. Helps you manage cash flow

By allowing you to pay later, it frees up your cash now for other things you need to pay for, more urgently.

3. Doesn’t mind being your back-up

Got your eye set on something, but the price tag is a tad heavy? PayLater is a great alternative that keeps you from dipping into your savings or adding to your credit card debt.

4. Always free to hang out

There’s no charge for its awesomeness. That means—no interest and no fees as long as you pay on time.

5. It’s easygoing

Just shop online, select PayLater at checkout, get your items now and pay for them later.

6. Helps protect you from overspending

While PayLater provides the flexibility to spend, it also helps keep you from overspending. With features like personalised spend limits and automatic payment(s), we’re committed to responsible spending. Learn more about that here.

7. It tells you as it is

PayLater is transparent about late payments. As much as it tries to help you avoid them, your account will be temporarily suspended if you do miss a bill. This is to stop you from spending any more until you pay your bill. You’ll then be charged a S$10 admin fee to reactivate each time you miss a bill.

8. It’s preeetty popular

PayLater is accepted at a wide range of online stores; from furniture to fashion; pampering to pets; and gadgets to gizmos. Check out the hundreds of places to spend with PayLater.

9. It respects your privacy

You only need to checkout with your phone number and an OTP — which means no saving any card details on websites.

You do need to link a card to Grab when you set up PayLater, but don’t worry, all your details are kept safe with us. We are PCI DSS level 1 compliant, which is the highest standard of security for payments. We apply the most stringent standards when storing, transmitting, and processing your data.

10. It can’t wait to meet you

Getting started with PayLater is really easy. All it takes is 3 taps to activate on the Grab app, and you get instant access to an available amount for you to start shopping with. Activate it in-app now!

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
