Who says we can\u2019t celebrate together while being apart?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To many, Chinese New Year this year looked a bit different. For us sadly, this means we couldn\u2019t greet or meet our Grab family physically like we usually do.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nonetheless, no festive season is complete without a proper get-together! So, with that in mind, we held this year\u2019s celebration <\/span>online <\/span>instead, through<\/span>\u00a0our <\/span>CNY Open House<\/span>. If you missed it, here are some highlights:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Huat\u2019 a celebration: Ringing in the new year virtually <\/span>\ud83c\udfee<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Although our <\/span>usual CNY celebration is done virtually this year, it\u2019s as festive as ever! Live streamed via <\/span>Rakan Grab Facebook Group<\/span>, the open house saw both <\/span>Sean Goh <\/span>and <\/span>Rashid Shukor<\/span>\u00a0making an appearance, where they were able to give their heartfelt words of appreciation to our partners for their hard work serving the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with that, <\/span>Grab Driver Centre (GDC) <\/span>teams and the <\/span>Driver Representative Committees (DRCs) <\/span>also greeted the community, in their own special way. To commemorate the occasion, they put together videos of them cheering \u2018Gong Xi Fa Cai\u2019 in high spirit and wished everyone a prosperous new year.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also took the opportunity to acknowledge our partners that went above and beyond last year through the <\/span>Everyday Heroes Award<\/span>. This award is given to recognise members of the community for their <\/span>outstanding service <\/span>to passengers and consumers, by helping them move around or get their food\/groceries safely. On top of that, some viewers also got to walk away with <\/span>prizes<\/span>! Courtesy of our sponsors, items like <\/span>smartphones<\/span>, <\/span>fuel vouchers<\/span>, <\/span>bluetooth earphones <\/span>and never-before-seen <\/span>Grab merchandise<\/span>\u00a0were given away to lucky partners throughout the open house.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another memorable part of the celebration is the entertainment segment. Viewers were treated to captivating musical performance, given by our very own talented partners. Shoutout to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Raymond Balachandran, Michael Chow Chee Hoong, Mohamad Farid Bin Mohamad Tajudin, and Mohammad Azlan Bin Said<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for putting on a show for us!<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all, we\u2019re glad to have been able to come together and celebrate this year\u2019s Chinese New Year with our Grab family.
