The default route is usually the fastest route in terms of time. This is determined by Waze, based on real-time traffic and road information provided by drivers on the road. Once you\u2019ve entered the destination, tap on \u2018Routes\u2019<\/span>\u00a0to see the list of all available routes along with their respective distances and estimated time of arrivals. Choose your preferred route<\/span>\u00a0and start driving.<\/span><\/p>\n

Passengers may sometimes ask you to avoid certain roads to save on toll fare. To avoid any tolls on your journey, go to \u2018<\/span>Settings\u2019 <\/span>and toggle the button next to\u00a0\u2018<\/span>Avoid toll roads\u2019<\/span>. <\/span>Don\u2019t forget to turn this feature off once you drop off your current passenger.<\/p>\n

Running low on gas? Don\u2019t worry! Tap on the \u2018Where to?\u2019<\/span>\u00a0search bar on the home page. You\u2019ll be redirected to a page where you can tap on the Petrol icon<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to get a list of nearby petrol stations in the area.<\/p>\n

How to avoid crossing the speed limit<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s never worth it to get a ticket for speeding. With the Speedometer feature on Waze, you can see how fast you\u2019re driving and be alerted once you\u2019ve crossed the speed limit. All you have to do is go to \u2018Settings\u2019 <\/span>and tap on \u2018Speedometer\u2019<\/span>, <\/span>and you will have the option to decide which speed alerts you prefer.<\/p>\n

How to get a cleaner map display<\/span><\/p>\n

Waze can get pretty cluttered with all the different icons spreaded across the map such as speed cameras, other waze users, sight of police, etc. You can consider opting for a cleaner map display by going to \u2018Settings\u2019 > \u2018Map Display\u2019 > \u2018Reports\u2019<\/span>. You will be brought to a page, listing the different icons which you can toggle on or off to be shown on the map.<\/span><\/p>\n
