Hi Grab driver-partners, you are required by the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ)<\/strong> to change your vehicle code from individual private vehicle (AB\/AD) to an e-hailing private vehicle (AH)<\/strong>\u00a0at the nearest JPJ counter.\u00a0This requirement is part of the e-hailing regulations and is very important for your EVP and road tax renewal.<\/p>

\u26a0\ufe0f Don\u2019t delay!\u00a0 Failure to change your vehicle code to AH will lead to your driver account restriction\u00a0and prevent the renewal of your road tax and EVP.<\/strong><\/p>

You may find the requirements and documents that need to be submitted at the JPJ counter below.<\/p>

JPJ has officially launched a new digital feature to make your life easier. Starting from February 2026, you can now perform your E-Hailing Vehicle Declaration (from Persendirian AB\/AD to E-hailing AH) directly through the MyJPJ app!<\/span><\/p>

No more manual paperwork or long queues.<\/span><\/p>

How to do it in 5 Simple Steps:<\/b><\/p>

Step 1. Check Vehicle Age:<\/b> If your vehicle is 3 years or older, you must complete the Puspakom inspection first. If your vehicle is below 3 years old, you may proceed directly to step 2.<\/span><\/p>

Step 2. Download MyDigital ID App:<\/b> Follow the instructions to register an ID.<\/span><\/p>

Step 3. Login to MyJPJ: <\/b>Choose “Login with MyDigital ID” option. Do not login with another method.<\/span><\/p>

Step 4. Find the Feature: <\/b>Tap on the “Declare E-Hailing Service Vehicles” option on the main dashboard.<\/span><\/p>

Step 5. Submit: <\/b>Select your vehicle and follow the prompts to complete your declaration in a few clicks!<\/span><\/p>

1. Download the MyJPJ app from App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Click on the \u2018Profile\u2019 button at the bottom.
3. Click on \u2018Motor Vehicle License\u2019.
4. Click on your registered car plate number.
5. Check if \u2018AH\u2019 is stated on your road tax, as shown in the image below.<\/span><\/p>

a. The process may be done by the owner or a representative. For online declaration, you must complete by using the vehicle owner’s MyJPJ apps.<\/p>\n

b. The process can be done at MyJPJ apps* and any State JPJ Office\/ Branch that conducts vehicle Registration and Licensing activities except UTC<\/p>\n

c. EVP details must already exist in the JPJ mySIKAP system and should still be valid<\/p>\n

d. PUSPAKOM’s Periodic Inspection Report (VR1) for the vehicle should exist in the JPJ system (mySIKAP) and is still valid for vehicles that have reached the age limit of three (3) years from the date of registration or the year it was made<\/p>\n
