GrabChat is our new instant messaging platform within Grab. It\u2019s a seamless form of in-app communication between you & your driver. <\/span><\/p>\n

Drivers can send templated messages to passengers, with just one tap and let you know that \u201cI\u2019m 2 minutes away!\u201d. And we\u2019ve also provided some handy templates for you with messages like: \u201cAre you nearby?\u201d to help gauge your estimated time of pick up, or you can send your driver some handy tips on how to identify you quickly! This way, you\u2019ll be en-route to your destination in no time.<\/p>\n

Finally, as a bonus, all of our in-app communication is free – so say goodbye to all those pesky SMS charges, or being charged for calling a foreign number!<\/p>\n

  2. Open the Grab app.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Make a taxi or car booking with Grab.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. You will see a Chat icon in the \u201cDriver on the way\u201d screen.<\/span><\/li>\n
