Chinese New Year marks a time of gathering with your family and friends. As a <\/span>BIG <\/span>part of our ever-growing family, we are happy to able to celebrate the festive season with you, and take this opportunity to recognise some of our driver-partners who have gone above and beyond in the past year!<\/span><\/p>\n

For this year\u2019s Chinese New Year festivities, we\u2019ve expanded our celebration to more Grab-operated cities, <\/span>24 cities in total<\/span>. A carnival-like atmosphere were held at 6 of our bigger cities while the rest were treated to intimate get-togethers! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Huat\u2019 a celebration! Driver-partners and Grabbers were all smiles while posing for photos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sean Goh, Country Head of Grab who attended the <\/span>Gong Xi Sama-Sama Reunion 2019 <\/span>in Klang Valley shared \u201cWe\u2019ve come a long way, you and us. From our first ride all the way back in 2012, till today where we have hit 3 billion rides. We have journeyed alongside each other and with our passengers, we have accomplished many feats together and all of it was only possible with you. We thank you for the hours you put behind the wheel to ensure that every passenger gets from Point A to Point B safely and soundly. So when we think of today, and think of this celebration, this togetherness, it really is a celebration not just of customs and traditions – but of<\/span>\u00a0you <\/span>and what <\/span>you<\/span>\u00a0mean to us\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Gong Xi Sama-Sama Reunion Carnival<\/span>\u00a0featured various booths to visit such as Tang Yuan Reunion, Portrait of Prosperity, Happy Reunion photo booth, carnival games and coloring booths for children. Attendees were also delighted with a traditional music performance by the Oriental Trio, majestic lion dance performance, <\/span>lou sang <\/span>and a feastful makan session with Grabbers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Just some of the many sights and activities to be experienced during the carnival!<\/span><\/p>\n

At the <\/span>Gong Xi Sama-Sama Reunion<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Luncheons and Dinners<\/span>\u00a0held in the smaller cities across the country, gave City Managers, Leads and Grabbers a great opportunity for them to get up close and personal with our driver-partners.<\/span><\/p>\n
