In summary: Not necessarily. On GrabMart, merchants set their own item prices, and grocers such as Jaya Grocer and Everrise are promoted as offering the same prices as in-store. Where online shopping does cost more, the difference usually comes from fees: delivery, small order fees and packaging. The good news is that you can reduce or avoid most of them.

Who sets the prices on GrabMart?

Prices on the Grab app are determined by merchant-partners and may include SST upfront. Grab’s merchant terms also ask partners to keep app prices substantially similar to their own store prices.

To make pricing easier to check, Grab runs a Same as in-store tagging programme. Merchants who join it have declared that their Grab prices match their in-store prices. If you spot a price difference, you can report it through the Grab Help Centre with a photo as proof.
