\n\nWe asked for your best safety and maintenance tips on Rakan Grab<\/b><\/a> and Rakan Penghantar Grab<\/b><\/a>, and you came through! We\u2019ve compiled some of these tips to share below.

\n\nWhether you are a driver-partner or delivery-partner, make it a routine to inspect the interior and exterior of your vehicle to ensure that everything is as it should be.\n

\n\u2022 If your mirrors<\/strong> are correctly positioned
\n\u2022 If your tyres<\/strong> are in good condition

\n\nThe condition of your tyres is especially important in ensuring your own safety and the safety of those around you. Make sure that they do not feel deflated and that they are not balding. \n\nHaving a tool kit onboard would be useful if something were to happen to your vehicle and a first aid kit is great to have during an emergency. There are even portable tool kits and first aid kits that would fit in the storage system of most motorcycle seats.

\n\nYou are 3.6 times<\/strong> more likely<\/strong> to be involved in a road accident when you\u2019re on your phone. Unless you\u2019re using your GPS, don\u2019t use your phone while you are driving your car or riding your motorcycle.

\n\nHeavy Rain<\/span><\/strong>
\n\nIt can be difficult to see ahead of you while driving in the rain. Turn on your headlights and keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of you in heavy rain.

\n\nDelivery-partners on motorcycles should have a raincoat ready<\/b> in case of unexpected rainfall. In moments of heavy rain, find a covered area away from traffic to get shelter until it is safe for you to continue on your journey. As a driver, it is recommended to replace your windshield wipers<\/b> every 6 months.

\n\nBlinding sun<\/strong><\/span>
\n\nGetting the sun in your eyes can also affect your capability while driving. Wearing sunglasses or goggles with UV protection can greatly reduce the burden on your eyes when it\u2019s extra bright outside.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\nHave your vehicle serviced by a professional to better understand the condition of your vehicle and what is needed for proper maintenance.

\n\nRemember to take note of your mileage and the date of the maintenance schedule and have your vehicle taken in before either of them are surpassed.

\n\nAside from having your vehicle serviced regularly, another important tip that your fellow Rakans shared was to check your engine oil<\/b> every now and then. Make sure that the engine oil level is not above or below the recommended amount, as it could damage your engine in either case.
