By using our Service (as defined in our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/my\/terms-policies\/transport-delivery-logistics\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Terms of Service<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), you are deemed to have read, agreed and understood the terms and conditions in this Guideline which are applicable to you. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Guideline, please do not use or continue using our Platform or Service. Where reviews are concerned, this Guideline shall apply in addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/my\/terms-policies\/ugc-terms-reviews\/\">Review Guidelines<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following are illustrative and non-exhaustive examples of inappropriate content which are strictly prohibited when using our Platform or Service:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Obscene and Indecent Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content that is contrary to social and moral norms, common sense of decency and modesty. Such content includes, among others, <\/span><b>nudity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>sexually explicit images<\/b> <b>or messages, lewd, sexual activity and rape<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Offensive and Menacing Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Content that has the tendency to annoy, harass, abuse or threaten any party or is generally against the current standard of morally accepted behaviour. Such content includes, but is not limited to, inappropriate elements that (<strong>i) threaten national security or public order; (ii) are political in nature or includes criticism of the Government or rulers; (iii) promote undesirable traits such as supporting or expressing sympathy or support to terrorist acts or organisations; (iv) disregards the sensitivity of the community and social norms of the country in which the content is exhibited; or (v) depicts criminal and immoral activity.<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><b>Violent Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content that promotes violence, be it <\/span><b>physical, verbal and psychological<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that induces fear or imitation. Such content includes advertisement of products such as weapons or contains visuals like blood and injuries.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>False Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content that is <\/span><b>fake or contains a significant degree of inaccuracies or false or incomplete or misleading information. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These include sales of replica products such as replica antiques, products that do not have the required approval or license from the relevant government agencies, \u2018miracle\u2019 products that promise for instance, great health.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Further<\/span><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">any claims made in an advertisement should stand against objective substantiation. Hence, obvious untruths, exaggerations or content that is likely to mislead will be considered inappropriate.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Content with Bad Language<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content with <\/span><b>offensive, inappropriate, profane or crude language<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Such content includes inappropriate naming of a product or food item or unsavoury description of a product.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Religious Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content that <\/span><b>refers to a particular religion or contains the image of a religious personality whether past or current or which quotes religious texts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to bolster the sale of a product. This category shall include advertisement of religious products.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Content with Children<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content which is aimed at <\/span><b>young children<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or depicts visuals of children must be handled with more care and sensitivity as they are easily <\/span><b>influenced, impressionable and less matured\/developed in thinking<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Such content includes depictions of a child engaging in a dangerous activity, displaying a child in a degrading manner or exploitation of children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Content with Illegal \/ Prohibited Products<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following products are generally prohibited from being advertised or are otherwise considered inappropriate:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cigarette, tobacco, and vaping products;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Illicit drugs;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alcoholic Products for underaged users;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Displaying the form of alcohol products (e.g., show a bottle of beer);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Firearms, weapons, other explosive material\/products designed to explode, and services which instruct\/teach production\/enhancement of such products including fireworks;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marriage agencies and \u2018friendship\u2019 clubs;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pornographic materials and sexual products and services (sex toys, books, videos, etc.);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gambling;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Products with inappropriate wording such as t-shirts;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fortune telling, astrology services;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unregistered medicines;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exotic meat, endangered animals and products of wildlife trafficking, illegal hunting and poaching of endangered species such as marine mammals, shark fins, rhino horns, ivory, deer musk, bear bile, tiger penis, and any similar products;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pork products (Malaysia);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unlicensed enterprises\/products such as money lending agencies, weight loss programmes, gyms, health supplements, travel agent, shares and indices trading platforms and deceptive business practices such as Ponzi \/ pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, guaranteed results, investment or trading courses and services;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cryptocurrencies, digital assets and forex trading;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Counterfeit or IP infringed products;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Specially controlled or dangerous drugs e.g. birth control pills;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Abortion services;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Breastmilk substitutes;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Birth control products (Condoms, IUD etc).<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><div style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"color: #565d6b\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div><ul><li><b>Non Denigration or Disparaging Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The content of an advertisement should not have the aim of <\/span><b>attacking or discrediting its competitors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. While comparison is good to promote vigorous competitions, it should be based on the principle of fair competition instead of outright mockery, ridicule or attack.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Use of People in Advertisement<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content where there is the use of <\/span><b>women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>children<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (see Paragraph 7 above) should be handled with more care. Advertisements should not portray women as an object of sex or in an exploitative manner. <\/span><b>People with disabilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> should be portrayed in a positive light and <\/span><b>racial profiling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>discrimination<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> must be avoided.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Satirical Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An advertisement can be funny and satirical. However, extra care must be taken. It is advisable to avoid having well known public\/political figures as the center of the joke. The list of such people includes government leaders, politicians, religious and community leaders, activists and competitor\u2019s business leaders.<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Unauthorized Use of Brands<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Content that uses other parties\u2019 registered trademarks without appropriate approval.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Abuse of \u201cHalal\u201d Content<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">False content that reflects the product they are offering is Halal to attract consumers.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We reserve the right to add, amend or remove this Guideline at any time, without the need for prior notice. If you do not agree to any of the changes, you must stop using our Platform and Services.
