You don’t have to! All Grab users are already automatically enrolled with the programme, unless you choose to terminate your membership. However, you may need to update your app before you can experience the full benefits and access the GrabRewards catalogue.

With GrabRewards points, you can either redeem discounted rides (RM5 off, RM10 off, RM15 off) or rewards from our various merchant-partners

Step 1: Tap on the menu on the top left corner of your app and select GrabRewards
Step 2: Choose your preferred ride reward and tap on Purchase
Step 3: If you’d like to use it now, tap on Ride Now. Otherwise, save it for later (see how to do that in the next FAQ!)

Yes, of course! When you’re ready to use your purchased reward, go to the GrabRewards catalogue and tap on My Rewards

Yes! Promo and even Reward rides are eligible for partial points. We will however only award points for the non-promo fare (e.g. RM10 – RM3 promo = points will only be awarded for RM7).

Yes! You are eligible to earn Reward Points for rides taken in Southeast Asia with the Grab app. Points earned outside of Malaysia will similarly be awarded based on the local currency earn rate.

We have allocated points based on your rides taken from 1 January 2017, with Grab – enjoy!

We will be sad to see you go! But if you decide to join in again in the future, please note that your points balance will reset to zero. We recommend you stay in the programme and earn points with every ride.

No, toll charges do not contribute to your points.

Yes. Tier ‘downgrades’ happen when you don’t earn enough points during Reward Period 1 or 2.
Refer to the chart. Let’s say you don’t earn enough points during Reward Period 1 (1 Jan – 30 June) to maintain your current tier, you will lose your tier and the privileges that come with it.

Yes. Let’s say your current tier is Platinum. You will stay on Platinum from 1 Jan to 30 June (Reward Period 1). However, if you take 0 rides during that Reward Period, your Platinum tier would be ‘downgraded’ to the basic ‘Member’ tier. That’s why you need to take more rides: to earn a certain amount of points to stay on your current tier.
