In our ideal world, all angpows would be electronic via GrabPay Credits and no paper would be needed at all. But for now, we know there is still much joy in the giving and receiving of physical angpows. So in honour of maintaining this tradition, we\u2019ve designed a more sustainable angpow.<\/span><\/p>

At about 3 times smaller than usual, this angpow uses much less material. Yet, it can still fit a $100 note. (Yes, we checked!)<\/span><\/p>

This tiny design is inspired by the Chinese saying, \u5c0f\u5c0f\u5fc3\u610f (xiao xiao xin yi) , which translates to \u2018here\u2019s a (little) gift from the heart.\u2019 It\u2019s also the greeting you see on the angpow.<\/span><\/p>

To put it simply, no new trees were cut down just to make these angpows. All of our packaging is made from 100% recycled material, so there was no need to harvest anything more from our precious forest resources. No, it\u2019s not to make the angpow tastier. Soy ink is easy to remove which makes recycling much easier. To recycle paper, it must first be free from all ink.
