What is GrabRental?
GrabRental is an online rental service that gives customers flexibility to order cars through our application for a minimum of 6 hours (rental fare includes drivers and fuel fees) from the pick-up point to multiple drop-off points within the coverage area.
Rp. 340,000 for a 6-hour trip.
What will happen if the trip is longer than 6 hours?
If the trip is longer than 6 hours, customers will be charged Rp. 60,000 per hour.
What will happen if the trip is less than 6 hours?
If the trip is less than 6 hours, customers will still be charged the same amount as a 6-hour trip.
Does the fare include fuel and driver?
Yes, the fare includes fuel and driver fees.
Does the fare include toll fee and other additional fees?
1) If the customers pay with cash, additional fees such as, additional rental charge per hour, toll fee, admission fee, parking fee, etc. can be requested to be paid by customers with cash as well.
2) If the customers pay with GrabPay or Corporate, then drivers are able to pay for the additional fees first, and it can be added and paid through the application at the end of the trip.
What is the current coverage area for GrabRental?
● Bandung: Kota Bandung, Lembang, Cimahi, Soreang, Ciwidey, Pangalengan
● Yogyakarta: DI Yogyakarta, Magelang, Klaten, Surakarta/Solo
What kind of cars will customers get if they choose to use GrabRental? What is the maximum capacity for the vehicles?
Only MPV cars such as Avanza, Xenia, Innova, APV, Ertiga, Grand Livina, etc. are eligible for GrabRental, with capacity of 6 people or depending on the capacity of the car.
What will happen if the customers ask to go to locations outside of the coverage area?
Grab has determined the coverage area for GrabRental hence if the customers would like to go to locations outside of the coverage area, drivers are allowed to decline the request.
Are customers allowed to choose any particular cars?
No, our system will automatically allocate jobs to all drivers without exceptions.
Can driver take orders from the same customers?
Yes, drivers are able to take orders from the same customers provided that the orders are made through Grab application.
Will customers be able to book trips in advance?
Yes, customers are able to do advanced booking up to 7 days before pick-up time, however customers are not able to book less than 1 hour before pick-up time.
Do customers get charge additional fee for booking trips in advance?
Customers will not get charged with additional fees for booking trips in advance.
Are customers able to do cancellation for advanced bookings? If so, is there a cancellation fee?
Customers are able to cancel bookings that are made in advance as long as the trips have not started, and communicated with drivers, without cancellation fee.
Are customers able to make more than one (1) bookings in advance?
Yes, customers are able to make more than one (1) bookings in advance with different pick-up times.
Will customers receive notifications prior to pick-up time?
Yes, customers will receive notificaions 30 minutes prior to pick up time, and when drivers are arriving to the pick-up points.
