Jakarta, 12 February 2016 – GrabBike, the on-demand ‘ojek’ service provided by Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing platform, today announced its new promotional fares that comes into effect immediately.
The new dynamic promotional fares is part of Grab’s ongoing mission to provide the best service and experience to all its users.
“During peak hours, demand for GrabBike increases many folds. This affects our users’ successful allocation, and we understand that it can be frustrating for them. We are confident that the new promotional fares will help us meet the peak hour demand,” said Kiki Rizki, Country Head of Marketing, GrabBike Indonesia. Users also do away with keying in promo codes with the new promotional fares in place.
GrabBike New Promotional Fares:
New promotional fare: IDR 1.500 per KM
Minimum charge during non-peak hours: IDR. 10.000,.
Surcharge during peak hours (06.00 – 09.00 WIB and 16.00 – 19.00 WIB): IDR 8.000
“For example, the passenger is taking ride from Karet Station to Senayan with estimated distance is 6 KM, he/she will only be charged IDR 10.000,. at non peak-hours. With that, they can use GrabBike for other activities with affordable price, fast and easy, as for going to the bank during lunch break and head back to the office on time.”
The new promotional fare structure is meant to encourage more GrabBikers to respond to the increased demand during peak hours. GrabBike structured the new promotional fares with our customers and GrabBikers’ interests in mind without compromising GrabBike’s service and safety standards as well as our commitment to bikers’ welfare.
Kiki added, “We have communicated the promotional fares to our GrabBikers. Our bikers have always played a significant role in GrabBike’s success, and we continue to keep them abreast of new developments.”
