Grab and PayTren Establish Strategic Partnership with Semarang-based Home-Style Food Delivery Startup Company, Madhang

Semarang, 28 January 2018 – Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation and mobile payment provider today announced a strategic partnership with a Semarang-based home-style food delivery service, Madhang. The signing of both parties allowed Madhang and Grab to synergize the abilities of Grab and Madhang. The partnership covered digital infrastructure, food delivery infrastructure, rewards program, and Grab for Business services.
At the same time, PayTren, Indonesia’s leading mobile payment application, also signed a strategic partnership, integrating PayTren’s mobile payment system into Madhang’s app. Madhang will get the convenience as well as an additional sales channel through this integration. The collaboration between the three parties acted as a follow-up to Grab and PayTren’s partnership started in December 2017 with the mission of proliferating entrepreneurship and digital business in Indonesia.
Kaesang Pangarep, Lead Marketing Madhang said, “Through this partnership, Madhang will receive multiple benefits, such as faster location registration for Madhang tenants, activation of a separate digital slot usable by tenants to allow delivery through GrabExpress, promotion, rewards, and Grab for Business for our employees. The signing took place during the “Grab First Anniversary at Central Java” event at Kantor Gubernuran Semarang, attended by thousands of GrabBike and GrabCar driver-partners. The event aimed to show appreciation to its driver-partners’ hard work and commitment in the city, who have participated in spurring Grab’s tremendous achievement in Indonesia.
As part of its commitment to improving the lives of driver-partners and their families – in recognition of their contributions to the company, Grab awarded its top GrabCar and GrabBike driver-partners in Semarang region.

To become a partner of Madhang, prospective tenant only have to send a copy of their ID card. Users are able to pay for their food using two methods : cash or Madhang Pay (Mangpi). Customers are also able opt to dine-in or have their food delivered. Tenants without permanent shop are able to operate from their homes. Madhang differentiates itself by offering pre-order / bulk order for the tenants. Madhang do not take the sales profit, allowing tenants to enjoy full-profit from their sales.
