Tournaments Rules

Answers to the most common questions.

Overview

  • Grab tournaments are a great way to meet people on Grab and compete to earn Grabbles! How tournaments work:
    1. Find a tournament
    2. Enter the tournament, and pay the Grabble entry fee
    3. Come back at tourney time and play as many times as you like to get your highest score!
    4. Win Grabbles! No one goes home empty-handed
  • That's all there is to it! If you want to know the nitty-gritty details, read on:

Registration

  • To join a tournament, you must exchange the Grabble entry fee. If there is no entry fee for the tournament, you may join at no fee.
  • If you withdraw from a tournament before it starts, you will not be charged the Grabble fee.
  • Once the tournament has started, the Grabble fee cannot be refunded.
  • If a tournament is canceled before its finish for any reason, entry fees will be refunded to all entrants.

Play

  • To play in a tournament, go to the tournament page before the start of the tourney. The tourney chat rooms will be open 15 minutes before the start. To get a head start, be in the chat room early!
  • You will be notified in the chat window when the tournament is starting.
  • You may play as many games during the tournament time as you like. Only games that are started after the start time and finished before the finish time will be counted.
  • Your highest score for a complete game during the tourney will count as your score for the tournament.
  • When the tournament is finishing, a message will appear in the chat room.
  • If you do not play any games within the tournament time window, you will still be charged the Grabble entry fee.
  • At least 10 players must complete a complete game within the tournament time span or the tournament will be considered void, and any entry fees collected will be refunded.
  • Players may participate in as many tournaments as they’d like. (NOTE UPDATED COPY)

Member Tournaments

  • Any Grab.com member may create a new tournament. They are then the host of that tournament.
  • Once a host has created a tournament and any players have joined, that tournament cannot be canceled.
  • Hosts may compete in their own tournaments.
  • Hosts may contribute Grabbles towards the tournament purse.
  • Hosts may not apply any rules to their tournaments that are not supported by the Grab.com Tournaments system.

Rankings and Awards

  • Awards are given to players based on their ranking, which is based on their highest score during the tournament.
  • Award amounts for each player are based on their finishing rank, the tournament entry fee, any Grabbles donated by the host, and the number of players who completed at least one game during the tournament. The first-place finisher will receive half of the entry fees and the host's donation. The second-place finisher will receive half that award, and the third-place finisher will receive half of that award again, and all other players will receive progressively smaller awards.
  • Players who entered the tourney but did not play will not count towards this formula. Their entry fees are forfeited.
  • All members receive the Grabble awards as shown on the tournament page upon completion of the tournament, regardless of VIP account status.
  • Grabbles have no cash value.

Cheating

  • Players may not enter a contest for the purpose of losing so another user will earn more Grabbles.
  • A single user may not enter a single contest with multiple accounts
  • Any players found cheating will be subject to having their Grab.com accounts disabled. Player cheating will be determined at the sole discretion of our support staff, and is not subject to protest.

Protests

  • Players who would like to lodge a formal protest regarding cheating, technical problems, or other issues, may file protests with our support staff. The support staff will review the protest and determine if any action will be taken. The support staff's decision is final.
