What browser should I use?
For the best experience on Grab.com, we suggest using Internet Explorer version 6 or above or Netscape 8.0 or above. Grab also supports Firefox 1.0.4 and above, although our ActiveX web games will not work in Firefox. By default, Internet Explorer 6 will support all of the games on Grab.com.

Some of the online games on Grab.com don't work for me?
Games on Grab may use one of four different technologies:

  • Flash
  • Shockwave
  • Java
  • ActiveX
Make sure you computer is set to support all of these technologies. See below for detailed instructions on how to install them.

Flash or Shockwave games are not working for me. How do I install or enable Flash and Shockwave?
Either your computer does not have Flash / Shockwave installed or you have Flash / Shockwave disabled. See the following links to download and install the Macromedia Flash & Shockwave plug-ins: Download Flash Player - Download Shockwave Player

If you already have Flash or Shockwave installed, then you may have it disabled. Using Internet Explorer, to check if Flash or Shockwave is enabled:

  • Select Tools from the main menu.
  • Select Internet Options.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Select Internet under the Zone Selection area.
  • Move the slider bar to Medium.

If you are using a custom security level, select the Custom Level button. From the Security Settings screen make sure that "Run ActiveX Controls" is enabled. The High Safety setting disables ActiveX, which must be enabled to use Flash or Shockwave.

Java games are not working for me. How do I install or enable Java?
Either your computer does not have Java installed or you have Java disabled. Note: Microsoft Windows XP does not come with Java included, you must download and install it from Sun's website.

To download and install java please click the following link to download the latest version of Java.

If you already have Java installed, then you may simply have it disabled.

To check if Java is enabled using Internet Explorer:
  • Select Tools from the main menu.
  • Select Internet Options.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Select Internet under the Zone Selection area.
  • Move the slider bar to Medium (High safety disables Java).

If you are using a custom security level, select the Custom Level button and make sure that Java permissions is set to enable Java and that Run ActiveX controls is enabled. Also, make sure you have the JIT (Just-In-Time) compiler option turned on from the advanced settings tab for best performance.

To check if Java is enabled using Netscape:
  • Select edit from the main menu.
  • Select Preferences.
  • Select Advanced from the left selection area.

In the advanced settings make sure that "enable Java" is selected.

ActiveX games are not working for me. How do I install or enable ActiveX?
ActiveX only works with Windows computers and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Firefox, Netscape, and the Mac OS are not supported.

To check if ActiveX is enabled using Internet Explorer:
  • Click on Tools and select Internet Options.
  • On the Internet Options screen, click the Security tab (near the top of the window).
  • Click Custom Level... near the bottom of the window.
  • On the Security Settings window, scroll down until you see a section labeled "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
  • If anything in this section is marked Disabled, change it to Enabled or Prompt. Do this only for controls containing the word ActiveX in the description.
  • Click OK on the Security Settings window; click OK on the Internet Options window.
  • Navigate to the game you were having trouble with, or Refresh your browser if you were already there.
