After some more time, he made another "lone" movie. Beverly Hills Ninja (1997), that made him even more famous. With his growing fame, his problems got even bigger. He didn't want to be the "fat guy who falls down" any more. But Chris had several other problems, too, with alcohol and drug dependency. He died from an overdose of cocaine on December 17th, 1997 in his apartment in Chicago and was found dead by his brother.
