my dad loved him . the only thing that could make him laugh when he was dieing.

That's a lovely memory to hold of your Dad

One of my Dad's favourites was Tommy Cooper - I have many happy memories of us sat as a family wathing him on TV giggling at his jokes and antics 

Benny Hill and Tommy Cooper(Just like that)were
from the old school,with the likes of Dick Emery,
Erik Sykes,Morcambe and Wise,and Kenny Everet,
Dave Allan.
A golden era,sadly now gone,loved them all.

There has been many good ones since,Russ Abbot,
Frank Carson,Bernard Manning,Freddie Starr,to name
but a few.

Of todays stand ups,they are a sad bunch,I think
they call it alternative comedy,!!
My two faves today would have to be Peter Kaye,
and Billy Connely

The old ones were brilliant (not so much Freddie Star other than his early days!)

Love Billy Connolly his houmour is right up my street and I love the TV shows he has done traveling around Australia & New Zealand etc - very deep guy in many ways. Saw him live a few years back - I have never laughed so much!  Oh and a good actor as well - The Man Who Sued God and Mrs Brown.

Bill Conolly, had a show in the States where he played a teacher.I always liked him.I recently seen a stand up of his, and it was disappointing.I don't enjoy the standups.To me they are illiterette.I get tired of all the Fooking,and Mother fooking,to me it is crass and not funny.(this is most of them, not just one)I like Wanda Sykes,and the Blue Collar guys.but since they are red necks, I'm sure you don't under stand them.Huh Dave...Dave is a good friend to a red neck , named Poke Salad Annie...Gator's got your granny...lol lol

Your right about Billy Angie...hes quite an
accomplished actor,hes a lot better comedian,
come actor,than some actors that profess to be
comedians.......

Maybe its just the way they translate over here
but some of the mind numbing so called funny
men like Adam Sandler...Jack Black...Will Ferrel,
Ben Stiller(allthough will admit 1 or 2 Ok)just
dont raise anything for me,and yet they get paid
to turn out movie after movie,that are at best
forgetable.
Yet give a great actor like Joe Mantegna a good
script and hes hilarious(Babys Day Out) or even
Robert De Niro (Analise This)
Brendan Fraser (George Of The Jungle)

Who said Rob Schnieder was funny???
Tim Allen..juries still out..(Wild Hogs saved him)


And on rednecks K..yes happen to know one or two,
(never can understand em,never know what theyr up
to,never know whats gonna hit me next,)

Know one sweet old lady name of Annie,she has a
real hard time keepin family fed and all,every
morning at dawn shes out to her Trog patch,
Labours real hard collecting in Turnip greens for
a few bowls of salad they eat each day.
Along with early morning cereal,coffeee and toast
...mid morning flapjacks...followed by jello...
ice cream,and peanut butter sandwitches,....an
afternoon trip to mcdonalds,a small serving at
dinner of Rump Steak potatoes,carrots,peas,and
Turnip Greens.
Oh yes these redneck folk struggle through each
day,just to survive..

Hey Uncle Dave and Miss Angie,Momma Kagen and Uncle Bubba is having a get together down at the swamp.Jr, has enough road kill for BBq,Momma has fried okra, and crawdadies by the bucket,greens and fat back...There will be alligator restlin,swamp boat races, and ol Hooter has his fiddle for dancin.We would love to have company from across the pond...Huh Momma?

Nah we save the Elephant for holidays.Found an old razorback that had bin hit by Bubba's pick um up..Fresh kill good pulled pork BBque..Tootie is coming down from the holler to make that.WE'll have possum stew, armadillo casserole.Nanner puddin,maw's chocklat cake.Paws got the still going, and their is Bud and pepsi on ice.The Bennett sisters, will entrtain with Bubba's fiddle playing.They do a mean lap dance.Each way quite a bit so when they get to shakin it takes awhile to stop...Now Dave you remember you promised we a slow dance..Have I ever got a surprise for you...me being short and you being so tall it should be a lot of fun.See you Sunday.                                   Annie

   Boy!!!  I can't leave you guys alone for a min.   It sounds like there has been a party going on and I am sorry I missed it.   Had a wonderful time in R.I. and on the beach every day.  Food yummy!   Getting cooler here in the eve.   Fall colors will be coming too soon.   Looking forward to the apple picking though!!  Any one see the move Coco Chanel?   I probably spelled this wrong.   It was good.   Well off to fix some chow for the hubby and I.   Glad to be back to visit with you all.   Squirt  xo

Welcome back squirt, glad to hear you had a good time.  Yep autumn is deffinately on its way over here too, conkers falling and the nights are really drawing in.  Mind you we have not had much of a summer this year so it will make the autumn and winter seem even longer.

I did have to smile on this one Dave! Good seeing old friends here again! I have been busy here of late! Star did marry Col/Free at IMVU and they are very happy! Most of the time they are in "The One Love Rasta Room" in public rooms at IMVU! I'll try to post some once arthuritis has calmed some in my shoulder and arm! Makes it hard to type for long periods! lol Hope to catch up with you guys soon! Huggs and Smiles, Wanda/ Lady Star
