Everyone is new at some point and here's the place to learn all about Grab. Or even if you're a well known veteran to Grab, you might learn something you never knew before!  Welcome to Grab everyone! Enjoy!

Important Information for All Users

Please be sure to always follow the Terms of Service. Those that do not follow the rules will be placed in the Penalty Box (also referred to as the PB). While in the PB, you are unable to chat, post on the message boards, send messages, and all the other things one comes to love doing on Grab. The amount of time one spends in the PB is based both on the offense and the number of offenses one has.

If you ever come across inappropriate content, please report it. On the message boards, use the "report inappropriate content" link found in the top right hand corner of every post. In the chats, click on the offending user's name and select File Complaint. If they leave before you're able to report, feel free to click on any other user's name and specify who you're actually reporting. On a profile, use the "report inappropriate content" link found inside the users' Images bar, towards the middle of their profile. In a GrabMail, please copy and paste the entire mail (including headers-to, from, etc.) to the staff via the Contact Us link.

Please remember to NEVER EVER give out your account password.  Grab.com Staff and Moderators will NEVER request your password for ANY reason.  If someone ever requests your password for any reason, please report them via the ways listed in the paragraph above.  This is a very serious matter and if left alone, it could cause major harm to Grab.com and it's members!

Also, please do not forward chain letters through Grab.com messages, guestbooks, message boards, or any other communication area on Grab.  Chain letters clog up the website, and at some times, they can be offending or inappropriate.  Feel free to ask your friends if they accept chain letters, however, if they do not want them please don't send them.  Lastly, remember that even if your friends don't mind chain letters in general, everything posted on Grab.com, even chain letters, must follow the Grab.com Terms of Service.

Lately there has been an increase in scams being submitted and posted throughout Grab.  These have been seen, mostly, on the message boards and via Grab user-to-user messages.

The scams that have been posted on the Grab message boards are generally the pyramid financial style scam where people request that you send $1 to a number of email addresses or Paypal accounts.  Often times they will be marked "as seen on Oprah or 20/20" or terms like that to gain your trust.  HOWEVER, THESE ARE 100% SCAMS AND SHOULD NEVER BE FOLLOWED.  Instead, please click the "report inappropriate content" link at the top right of the post, or notify a Moderator immediately for removal.  These have been appearing occasionally throughout the past few months, generally on the Finance & Credit board, however sometimes elsewhere on the Grab message boards.

The second type of scam Grab has been receiving is a Love/Romance scam spread through the Grab user-to-user message system.  These are generally from a female who states that you (the recipient of the message) seem very nice and are the love of her life.  Often times, the messages will be written with poor grammar and spelling.  Then, you are generally told to send her an email or instant message on a messenger.  NEVER CONTACT THESE INDIVIDUALS BACK.  Instead, copy and paste the message, including the To/From and Date/Time headers, in a Contact Us query.  This can be done by clicking Contact Us at the bottom of any Grab.com page, and then Contact Support.  If you are a VIP user, click Contact Premium Support.  This will report the message to a Grab.com Staff member who can investigate the user and the crime.

The Grab help guide can be found here. If something isn't covered or you're still wondering about something, feel free to ask. The forum for questions, comments, suggestions, etc. about the site is Site Feedback.

For other help around the site, we currently have 9 Moderators, also known as mods. In alphabetical order, they are:

Moderators

Almexx
Autumn_2426
Coffee_bean
Diferuent29
FHPD18
Firestarter
Sophia_coco
Taffy70
Tubaguy23

We're here to help around the site. If you need help with anything, such as an unruly person in chat or inappropriate content that needs to be taken care of right away, feel free drop one of us a message. Everyone can report inappropriate content, though, as mentioned above. Also, while all Moderators are considered V.I.P. members, not all V.I.P. members are Moderators. To identify a Moderator in chat, you'll see us at the bottom with Gold badges (on the age-grouped social chats, such as Teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, etc.) and in game chats and multiplayer chats, Moderators have an orange badge with a "M" in the middle, and are located at the top of the chat. While on the boards, we have the title of "Moderator" written under our usernames.

Note: We do not handle technical issues with the site. If there's a problem with a game, chat, profile, etc. we are unable to fix it. However, we may be able to answer questions to help figure out the problem.

We also have a wonderful support Staff to help you with your needs and they would be the ones to go to with any technical problems. The Staff can be reached using the Contact Us link, found at the bottom of any Grab page. If it's an emergency, though, they can be reached directly at:

Support Staff

Skatemodee
evosrt4_speeder

To identify a staff member in chat, you'll that they have a blue badge that says either OP or S on it next to their names at the top of a chat. While on the message boards, they'll have the title "Grab.com Staff" written under their username.

You can read more about Support Staff and Moderators here.

Now we can venture into the fun stuff!

Often times, people have many questions about the currency of money on Grab, which we all know as Grabbles. How do I earn them, you ask?

There's a legend of ways to earn Grabbles here, which is also found by clicking on the Grabbles symbol next to your Grabble amount at the top right of the page. Other ways that aren't listed are: the trivia questions (read on), tournaments (read on), and games that give you Grabbles through gameplay. They are:

Brain Buster
Cursor Grabber
Gold Miner: Vegas
Gold Miner's Holiday Haul
High Tide
Jewel Miner
Master Qwan's Mahjonng Deluxe
Night Before Christmas
Paulo The Penguin
Spider Solitaire
SuperBob

There are also games, which can only be played by Grab.com's VIP Members, which award Grabbles:

Belle's Beauty Boutique Deluxe
Gold Miner Vegas Deluxe
Gold Miner's Holiday Haul Deluxe
Hansel Mining Co. Deluxe
High Tide Deluxe
Jewel Miner Deluxe
Klondike Solitaire Deluxe
Spider Solitaire Deluxe

One of the purposes of Grabbles is to show that you play a lot of games and like to earn them.  However, you may also buy virtual items with your Grabbles from the Grab Mart!  You can find the Grab Mart by clicking on the Grab Mart tab.

This next section will guide you to all the awesome stuff you'll find here at Grab.

This section is more of a help and "where to find certain things" section.  In this, you will be able to learn where to find things that all of the members of grab.com enjoy - the games, the additional message boards, the chat rooms, the blogs and more!

GAMES TAB

We will start with the games.  Everyone likes games, right?  From this topic, you can find the games by pressing the Games tab at the top of the page.  This tab is available at the top of ANY Grab.com page, and it will always lead you to
the games.

When you click this tab, you will see some small links underneath the tabs: Action, Card & Board, Casino, Download Games, Puzzle, Word, User Submitted, and Tournaments.

By clicking the Action button, you will be led to all games that involve action and fit this theme.

When you click the Card and Board button, you will be led to a page with card games and board theme games.

This is the same for Casino as well.

If you click Download Games, you will be led to all of the downloadable games here on Grab.com.

Puzzle and Word, as well, include games from the puzzle and word categories.

User Submitted consists of games which are submitted by independent companies or regular users like you who create games.  Note: User Submitted is the new name; It used to be called Homemade, and Indie Games before it was called Homemade.  Grab.com is not currently accepting any User Submitted games.

Lastly, the Tournaments tab will take you to a page which lists tournaments hosted by the Grab.com Staff as well as Grab.com Members.

COMMUNITY TAB

The next tab on the top of the Grab.com pages is Community.  This is actually the section you're in right now!  The Community section of grab.com is the "chat" section. Remember, you must ALWAYS follow the Grab.com Terms of Service in the Community Section!

The links below the top tabs in the Community section are Main, Boards & Chat, Blogs, Wannas, and Browse Profiles.

This time, we will start with Main.  This is the section you automatically go to when you click Community.

This page shows ideas of what you will find in the Community Section.  Some blogs, a few Message Boards and Chats mentioned, a little section
for the weekly raffle, some members' I Wanna's, and some information on Grab Raffles and the Grab Mart.

The next link, to the right of Main would be Boards & Chat.  When you click this link, you will see many sections - Some of the different sections are Grab, Age Groups, Movies, Fun & Leisure, and Life & Personal.  You can enter any of these
message boards by clicking their name.  You probably have already learned how to
do this, since you've found this topic!

If you are looking for the chat rooms they can be found to the right of the Message Board names.  For each section that has a chat, it will say "join chat" and then the amount of people
in the chat at the time.

The next link next to Boards & Chat is Blogs.  The
Blogs page shows a classic blog and a funny blog, along with the Official Grab.com Blog below those.

On the left you will find some sections, such as
Most Popular Blogs and Recently Updated Blogs.  Any grab.com user that wants a blog can make one!

On the left of the Blogs page, above the Most Popular Blogs section you will find some links to Edit and Create your blog.  Enjoy!

The next link is Wannas.  This takes you to a page which has information on I Wannas.

GRAB MART TAB

The Grab Mart tab takes you directly to the Grab.com Grab Mart.  The links beneath are Main, Best Sellers, Premium Items, and New Additions.

The link called Main is a main page for the Grab Mart which shows the item categories, and different sections for different types of items.

The next link is Best Sellers.  These are the items which are bought the most.

The third link is Premium Items.  These are items in which only V.I.P. Members can buy.

The final link is called New Additions.  This area holds up to its name - it lists the newest items to the Grab Mart.

VIP LOUNGE TAB

The tab which comes between Grab Mart and My Profile is the VIP Lounge.  This area lists the premium deluxe games for V.I.P. members, as well as a few other things which are for V.I.P. members only.

This concludes the glossary on how to find your way around Grab.  There is more information about Grab.com in the official Help section, found by clicking the Help link at the bottom of any Grab.com page. I hope you're not too bored right now, because now you gotta use what you just learned to work around Grab.com!  Enjoy!

Now, don't forget to introduce yourself so our community can get to know you!

EDIT: i'm also gonna add this new section, to help users understand those little links under each post.

Quote - Quote means to quote the post that had the quote link on it, if that makes sense.  When you click this, it will make a new post in the thread, with the other user's post already in the posting box.  Then you can just put a few lines below the quoted material, and type.  This is good, especially when you're answering a person's question or specifically referring to the quoted post.

Edit - To edit the post means to go back and change the post you made.  This is often good if you make some grammar or spelling errors, or if you wish to add extra material once you've already posted.  Also, it is good to use this when you're posting, instead of making back to back posts, for this could be considered bumping in most cases.  You will only see this link on your posts -- you can't edit other user's posts.

Reply - This is the same as quote, just without the quote.  When you press this link, you will have a new post to reply to the thread.  Then just type and create post!

Okay guys, I really mean it on that last line or two of the second post.  I hope we didn't make you too bored!

Enjoy and thank you for your continued support
