it is very good to see lots of new people playing serf,s up but its a pain when you cant get a good score ----- well for all of us newbies we do need to practice. its all a case of luck in the swing and how low you wait to hit the serf!.
just keep trying it could take 10 attempts to get a high score or even 200! but the main thing is to enjoy the game and chat with the other members,we dont bite will hardings dog does lol so good swing and luck to all.

It is true that there are lots of new people in Serf's Up Tourneys and I, personally, welcome them.
Unfortunately, because of one member who keeps coming into Serf Tourneys under many different names, the majority of the regular Serfaholics are inclined to be more than a little wary of newcomers. We do not intend to be clanish, nasty or ignorant - the old "once bitten, twice (or thrice, etc., etc.,) shy" saying is being applied.
When the troublemaker is gone for good I trust that life in Serfland will go back to normal and we can once again hold open tourneys without fear of running into very stressful chat situations.

I agree with Liza, we are all being harrassed by a certain individual. these serf's tourneys should be open to all, but we can't have fun when someone is harrassing us constantly. Whenever I host a tourney that is invite only, I post on here and ask whoever wants in to let me know and I will invite.
Once this person is gone all will be well again!

Well I'm not quite a newbie either but I still cant hit high scores lol.
Yes it is such a shame that 'one person', I use that term lightly, manages to ruin what otherwise would be a laugh, oh and a game with friends.
The sooner the said person is banished the better it would be for all concerned.

I stay quiet because i am more of a listener than a talker. I also find it is a lot less aggrovating.All of the people she torments have my full support when they have a go at her.

Isn't it sad when something so nice gets wrecked by someone who just lacks in attention in their own life? I guess even the negative attention is what they need. I migrated here from Yahoo rooms for the same reason. I certainly hope we can keep this site nice and friendly. I do look forward to coming into a tournement with all the nice people I've met.

I agree that "our former friend" MUST GO!
But I have to say that GRAB did lock her out of the accounts of which they knew about ...but...how can you keep ahead of this gal
when she has more PERSONALITIES (as she calls it) and uses them as various user names. GRAB is not a mind reader to be able to locate ALL of these that appear. You never know day-to-day
(NO, moment-by-moment) when she will appear and in what person.
I have to say that I entered the tourney one day using a different user name. I was interrogated by some of the most vicious, attacking people I have ever encountered. They were DETERMINED even after I thought I had proven that I was whom I said I was. I'll never forget those people and the agony placed upon me my them.
I have forgiven them for their actions - - and I do understand their apprehensiveness...but I had done nothing to cause them to accuse me. They were down-right nasty to me! Others encountered this same indignant treatment - - and it was all done because of the "lady with many personalities" who is a menace to GRAB!
Had she not been existence, these would be some of the nicest people I've met at GRAB.
Yes...I don't blame them any longer - - but I hope that no one else has to endure what I did because of "the disturbed member who keeps coming back to disrupt the games and chats"!

i thank everyone on the surfs up boards for giving me such a "good time" it does cheer people up no end.
one last thing well done to chris_here for such a high score 14144. i was there when she did it and i thought she was going to pass out !!!!.

Thank you so much, nost for the WTG on my high game in the Serf's Up tournament. I was shaking I was so shocked lol.
It will be like heaven on earth when that one bad apple stops tormenting people. I imagine it must be a lonely and miserable life for someone to try gathering so much negative attention from others. I pray that person gets some professional help very soon, it certainly needs it. Sorry to anyone who was severely questioned by some of us. Guess we are a bit on the paranoid side after all we've been through with that fool. Hope we can keep Serf's Up a happy and peaceful place to play and chat in.

This is true - We can't know when banned users are back as other names until we are notified. People were moaning on here about her other names but noone had reported them..
Simply use the contact us button or grabmail me and I can get the names to staff immediately. If you're not sure, a simple IP check will tell us yes or no

This is becimeing a real probleam in the tourneys,as I have seen this person use multi names in one day to harrass the tourney players. I normaly just file a report and use the ignor option often. I feel for the Grab Team haveing to deal with these idoit's daily. But I am confindent that the Grab Team will have a solution to dealing with the many unstable personalities the we all have to endur. Keep up the good work Grab Staff & Team. Remember reporting does make a huge differnce even when unnoticed.
