It's technically not a glitch. In the design most match three games have matches and powerups. Those helpers, the cats the dynomites are not moves , but bonuses. If you get 3 of them together they will act like a match. You have to think matches=moves. If you let too many powerups stay on the board you will block your matches. You have to consider that in the strategy of the game. So it's not a defect it's part of the game logic. The thing is we often have an idea of what makes sense in a game. Part of the puzzle is figuring out what the rules of the game are. Once you start thinking of it as matches then you need to keep a look out to see that there will always be a set of matching GEMS left on the board. It's easiest to use the dynomite and carts. When using the Jackhammer "POWER UP" make sure there is a match left on the other side of the board, because sometimes the replacement gems will wipe out your last matches. In some cases it's easier to blow up a couple of jackhammers, because they can wipe out your last match easily. If you use the clover do it when you have protected matches at the bottom of the screen. If not you can get a lot of free matches, but have all your matches wiped out if all your matches are at the top.
The big dynomite will actually clear a lot of space but will give you little or no points. If you are running out of time it helps out. But, if you are going for points, and you have a big dynomite next to a small dynomite, the small dynomite will give you more points and change less of the board so blow up the large dynomite with the small dynomite. Look ahead for matching Gems and don't count the powerups as moves. You can only use them when you have another match on the board some wheres else. The thing about unique games is the game designers get to make up the rules. Once you figure out what the rules are you will see your points increase. That's part of the built in challenge, and most gamedesigner, purposely leave out the details so that you can discover the game when you get into it. It puts a higher level of strategy into the games by adding things you don't expect. I'll aadd this as a new topic and put it in my blog for those who might not find this thread.
