I just played a game where i was on round twelve
with 5 dynamite and 5 timers and all of a sudden my game was ended stating OH NO THERE ARE NO MATCHES LEFT.

If I would use a dynamite wouldn't that create more matches?

I also encountered almost the same things... I have 5 dynamites, timers and the gloves... not only that I have the 'super' things available on screen.  I want to keep them for later... then no more match... what if i click the super moves... which will clear one line and that should create more moves.... just don't understand...

Yeah, I think that when that happens they should give you a new board instead of ending the game.  It is so frustrating.

The thought is that you need to have a match available for your turn to be active.

Whether you want to use one of the specials (cart, jackhammer, etc) or the bonus items (dynamite, clover, etc) you still need a potential move available for you to have access to these items.

Not saying that I agree with it, just the logic behind it.

you would not have been able to use your dynamite because you did not have any matches (with a box you need to uncover) to carry on the game... that's why you should always leave one match that you don't touch in case you get into this situation ... then use your dynamite or any of the other bonus items that you have on your board and then you will get more matches ... but leave your one until the end of that round then click it off...this will help you to avoid that problem ... good luck

This may be a late reply because I stop plying this game because I was getting this message every time I played and I know there was at least one match.

I recently started playing it again, I'm not real good at it but I don't take it serious because I know what's coming.

Sure you would, but Jewel Miner isn't the only game that does that to you.  So does the Night before Christmas.
I've even had times when I had a move and tried to move the piece, but it kept throwing it back and wouldn't allow me the move.  Who knows why... it was 2 trees lined up with one piece between the next tree that could have been moved into place to align the three trees, yet it wouldn't let me do it.
So don't feel bad.  You aren't the only one getting messed with.
Maybe we have to be a paying member???

I thought this was a glitch in the game, so  wrote to grab about it.
They in turn wrote to the maker of the game, and guess what? It is not a glitch!
It is purposely made that way! I have noticed though, the more super's you have on the screen,
the chance for this type of game (glitch), happen's more often. I hope this helps you.
Oh! And, this is also the same for the Christmas version of this game as well.

Same thing just happened to me.. it said no matches left and I too had alot of clovers and dynaminte and clocks stocked up for later use... Now I know why the game went off. Thank you for the info....

I was doing the same thing.  I would save all of my dynomite and clovers and rarely use them.  When I was doing it that way, I would get the No Matches left message a lot.  I now use my items all through the game to help me get rid of those that are a little hard to get rid of, and it rarely happens to me now.
