I like to capture your attention and hopefully that word got your curiosity itchy...I find that this game is very stressful on the carpal tunnel. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have carpal tunnel syndrome and this certainly aggravates an already moderate-extreme case. If you have any positions that could be helpful in not stressing out this tunnel, it would be most appreciated. I am addicted already and this is my first few tries at it today/night. Thanks, Yodasmurfette

This is so incredibly true. After playing about 4 games, my wrist is aching!

Do you have a traditional mouse, or one with a trackball? I find that my wrist aches less with the trackball...

There is noway someone can get over 37 million point s in shape shifter even if it is a tourment. That person only played one game in the Shape Shifter tourment and got almost 37million points. I'm sorry but that is stupid, I think some of these games that they feature as part of the tourments games are rigged that only the skill players can play and win. I don't have time to be on the computer all day long and play games on grab.com like some of these people do. I have to work for a living.

I'm inclined to agree with you on the games working with or against a person. I too don't want to spend my life at the computer playing games, but some of these games are worse than cigarettes for addiction. LOL I think I'm going to start a blog for game addicts. Learning to control the amount of quality time on a game is my goal. http://www.grab.com/boards/b/games/post … t=1960126#
Confused Personal bests only... forget the tournaments. Just stay happy my http://www.grab.com/boards/b/games/post … t=1960126#

I have CTS and strangely don't find this game as stressful as some, such as Cursor Grabber.

I too have Carpal Tunnel and found that I can still play the game by keeping my wrist stiff and moving my whole arm on the mouse. Rest your arm on the edge of the table for stability and put he cursor on the row of pieces on the bottom. You should have just enough movement (using the slack in your skin - without picking up your arm, just pushing forward and back) to reach the top row.

During those long sleepless nights filled with game playing, I find my wrist will hurt.....I've taken to putting a tightly folded up wash cloth under my wrist......it seems to help....even much better than the mouse pads with built in support.
Hope you find some relief.

If you have CTS, you should be wearing a brace to support your wrist and forearm.
If you do not have a brace, try putting a gel pad or wadded up cloth directly under your wrist and forearm while you are lying your arm on the top of your surface to give that needed support. It is such a strain because when you are moving your fingers and rotating your wrist, you are using the tendons in your arm, which can cause aggravation to CTS. By putting that support there, it will alleviate some of the strength required to continually rotate your wrist.
Further to this, you should not play this game in excessive time periods (like an hour or more). Try playing it for 15-30 minutes, take a break for a while, massage your arm, and do some flexes, then go back. By doing this in the first place (whatever you were doing) is what caused the CTS in the first place.
I have CTS as well, so I hope this helps!

I do not have cts. My wrists is just fine. Have you guys ever seen computer mouse with the wheel that they have out now and plus they are optical too.So you don't have to worry that much about moving wrists around that much with an optical mouse. Trust it does work, I have a optical mouse, you can buy them anywhere that they sell for computers. They don't cost that much. My opticalmouse brand is DYNEX, it only cost me $20 dollars.

I found something that helps, but it doesn't really help your score only your wrists and hand.
Instead of keeping the mouse button when you drop and drag, if you click and release really fast to pick up the shape and then click again to drop it in position it really helps. It's holding the mouse button that bothers it the most. Though it seems like it's the clicking its not. I have the full version of this game and I couldn't keep playing until I switched to click and click instead of drop and drag. Let me know if it helps you or if this is only a personal quirk. It would be good to know that it works for more people.

The best help I've had with CTS is a plain copper bracelet!! I've had therapy, nsaids, wrist pads, and wrist braces. Until I started wearing the copper bracelet on my right wrist, I only got minimal relief. Hope this helps.
Good luck to all,
Joy
PS As noted above, laser mouse is less challenging to my joints.

I use a mousepad that have a gelpad so I my wrist is resting on that pad.
I use a optical, wireless and rechargable mouse so I have more space to move wrist. but also with this game you need to be very quick in seeing combinations and holding that mouse button is working faster. but another thing that helps is use your other hand for the waistebin, so you can get the shapes you need quicker. the more you practise the better you will get. I like this game but know that I will never be that quick but still enjoy playing it.

I have cts, too, currently not flaring up but can at any moment.
Take b-vitamins blend every day (very good for carpal tunnel) and stretch your wrist between rounds. S
elf massage yourself from the top of the forearm down toward the hand, or, better, if you can reach it, from next to your shoulder blad on the effected side, up over the shoulder, and down the arm through the hand.
Also, if you can train yourself to click with your middle finger that might be better.
GL!
