Here are some great tips that will get you through the game with a good score:

1.On the 1st level, try to get both of the large gold pieces first. Then, get the rest.

2.try to get as much gold as you can on the 1st 2 lvls, they'll really help you.

3.Only buy the items when they're cheap.

4.Avoid Stones As MUCH as you can, they can really slow you down

5.Don't buy the strength drinks, they just waste your money and they don't help that much.

6.Only buy the dynamite sticks when they're under $100, or even $80

7.Get the diamonds FIRST if they're on the lvl, and then go for the gold

8. If you have gotten all the gold, and grab bags (with time left) get some stones, so you can get a little extra cash.

More TIPS:

1.On level 6 to to get the moles with diamonds

2.If you accidently release the lever thing, and want it back, just click on the left arrow real quick.

3.On level 8, try not to get the tnt barrels, they really suck, they wipe out almost everything around it and you only get $1 afterwards. I lost at this part cuz i kept getting tnt.

I agree with you in some of your points but cant really say that eneregy drink is a nonsense. It helps me a lot and I almost always buy them, sometimes dinamite sticks can also be very helpful, but the main things are certainly diamond polisher and energy drink.
